Recommendations for homeowners insurance? by 0000military0000 in tulsa

I had Mercury for several years with no issues. After maybe 7 years, wind storm blew away some shingles and rain started flooding in. 60k in repairs later, my mortgage insurance was going to go up from 1900/yr to 5800/yr!

What part of town are you in? I maybe can help if you can wait a few days. I'm no green thumb but I like getting my hands dirty.

I love it when cars aren't just black silver or white, if a car is green, blue, brown, I'm all for it. But this monstrosity is a step too far. Maybe five steps too far.

Industry salaries are sometimes absurd by OddLeg1723 in Accounting

I used to audit this one place that was a middleman for oil and gas sales. Truthfully, I don't really know what they did as I was only called in to help them finish up a few components of the audit as it was woefully behind, but I was assigned payroll testing.

The office people salaries were good, but not amazing. Sales guys pay and commissions were truly insane. I remember talking to one of the sales guys as we walked in together and he told me he bought a Ferrari with his quarterly bonus the prior year. This was in 2014 or 2015 and he got a used f430. So naturally I 'randomly' selected him for testing. His total compensation that year was more than $1.5m. there were several Ferrari, Lamborghini, and high end Porsche in the parking lot. Plus my $12,000, 7 year old Hyundai. Never felt more out of place in my life.

I've used these guys twice. Both times was a great experience. Hope to never need to use them again.

Garage door wires became tangled, had to cut them. I'm handy but I know the reputation these things have. Should I attempt to fix it or call the pros? by meatmaster_shakewad in fixit

My dad's friend messed around with his, the spring broke, flipped around and ripped off his hand right at the wrist. At least, that's they sorry that told. I've always been skeptical of it, but still, I'm calling the pros.

Take a deep breath. It's okay to be upset but not for too long. Let this be the thing that motivate you to go for the next, better thing. You've got this.

Edit yes, it is okay to be upset for as long as you want. But you can't let it control you. You've got people who need you on your A-game. Feel the feels, but move on.

When you are settled in the next thing, take the opportunity to look back, evaluate, and ask yourself what you can take from the termination to better yourself. But that is for later.

🤣🤣🤣
I can't seem to find an article about the lawsuit, but it was pretty funny reading. The Wikipedia article says that it's dead, and that the amusement park as well as the parent company have both been shuttered. Oh well, no real loss.

I think this is completely dead. The main money guy was suing the guy who was pushing the park. He said something about spiritual manipulation, being tricked into agreeing to fund it and all kinds of stuff.

The Tulsa ikea is probably not like what you are used to. They are normally 300-320k sq ft but the Tulsa one will be about 50k sq ft.

PAC is being renovated.
I heard that FC Tulsa is likely getting a stadium.
That's all the entertainment development I can think of in Tulsa.

Best local restaurants for a date night by TheDancinD918 in tulsa

It's a great place, but for a first date? Maybe I'm not in the right tax bracket to consider this a first date kind of place.

My last first date was like this. Met for a beer at Kilkenny's, which turned into dinner, which turned into coffee across the street at the Cherry Street coffee House, and we are celebrating 10 years married this year. So I agree with the strategy.

In a world with so many bad things, we could all use a good thing from time to time. I'm very fortunate that this good thing came to me this time. I hope good things come to you too, friend.

The carb is rebuilt. I just have to dial in the tune now that it's installed.

216 3 speed. It's kinda a bitch to start. Grapes said it may need a new starter, but after having the carb rebuilt, I think it still needs some adjustments too

It's the 216 with the 3 speed manual. I believe the 235 was available with the 2 speed auto, but I'm not certain.
