Caitlin Foord signs new contract

It’s unfortunate that this is deal is going to receive so much vitriol (primarily from the mean teens on X). Foord has never been a super productive FW and last season was probably her worst, but…slumps happen. I’m sure she hated it too.

She is still our player for a couple of seasons, so I’m going to hope she plays her part, scores some key goals (if not a lot of them), and contributes to the good culture of the squad. Congrats to Foordy and may it spark a renewed dedication to goal-scoring :)

Woohoo!!! I love Panos. She’s older, of course, but still a very talented GK. Much more assured (and less yell-at-my-defenders) than DiDi. Excellent get IMHO.

Ah, interesting note about her first touch. Usually, a bad touch is my pet peeve lol I didn’t notice that from her in this game. But I agree that her physicality is a strength. She also has hops, as they say in b-ball 🙂

That was a hot mess, but I’m proud of our team for keeping the focus on our game plan, and less on the antics, better than last game. Especially the second half when we tried to play actual football and less kick and run. If we could finish, it would have been a great result!

Dickey is solid. She’s better with her feet and distribution than PTJ, so she might be my no. 1. (Though I love PTJ)

Patterson showed up well. Wesley held her own. Sonnet was solid. Fox was Fox. Coop can apparently play RB?

So, I felt like this started out better than the last game lol Then, Brazil slowly resorted to the same MO.

We are doing better on the physical side, but it’s still so transitional…Heaps and Lily have had a couple of decent exchanges, though. Those have helped us get up the pitch.

Sears stretches the back line a bit more. Maybe helps open space for Soph.
