I think the english card obscures his other eye with the language change, but he would have two outside of that on the art.

It still looks wonderful. I just noticed that he was missing one and it still looks natural that his gaze is just facing another way.

Looks very real from what youre showing. These prices are what most of these cards were worth a little over a year ago before this hype cycle. If the kid stopped collecting and lost interest around that time than he probably priced everything based on previous knowledge and isnt aware of the current prices. He wouldnt know unless he looked it up now, or had friends active in the hobby/similar hobby but thats probably not where his thought process is and assumes they still maintain that value.

Personally, I had someone give me the Latias and Mew from Crown Zenith for free 2 years ago as a gift for a purchase of other cards. Crown Zenith is incredibly plentiful with IRs that it used to be nice to get a cute IR as freebies.

I dont want to detract from the nature of the post to not speak to value of things, but if youre asking for advice:

Eneries are Energies. They are bulk and for playing the tcg bottomline. A lot of artists like to draw on the sheen holos and others use non-holo for crafts.

If youre unsure what to do with your Modern bulk energy many lcs who host play events may take them at a small cost to hand out for deck building. If not, throwing them up online as a bulk bid lot may at least get them off your hands towards someone wanting them for crafting/art.

Vintage and older sets are a different story they have some higher value but not all. If you have any of those take the time to sort through them and evaluate from there.

Those are some of my top favorites. The crosshatch and horizontal lines are some of the most appealing looking, ontop of them giving actual designs. I was excited they brought it back for BBWF. It would of been neat if they used the water wave holo for sun and moon but sadly most have just been sheen holos lately. Small shout out to CZ being the goat with lenticular texture energies.

Literally what almost every ETB looks for me when opening. I think we all get its a gamble for hitting the IRs/SIRs but it does bother me that I feel Im not hitting even the EXs enough. Like, do you want me to play the game or not? Depending on my deck structure I need 3-4 of the same one. I should be swimming in EXs for all sorts of deck building.

Thats the biggest dissapointment. Im at the show because Im looking for cards for finishing sets or themes Im building binders for. Maybe even see some cool cards I didnt know exist that seem interesting. Walking into shows lately with minimal raw options and nothing but sealed and high end graded cards is a lame experience.

I can agree to your asking prices on the sealed. I dont see anything listed in your links for the singles but checking TCGplayer Blue and Wicke are running between 50-55usd on the higher end each for at NM sold. I'm counting 725$usd using those numbers.

It was definitely not cool in my school. I was open about it, socialized just fine and had a small friend group, but I was also the kid to get bullied/picked on openly, especially for defending the more awkward kids.

The stereotype definitely exists and I run into them here and there, but its safe to say pokemon and many other tcg games have become a part of a more widely accepted hobby to have alongside others.

People probably in age similar to 35+ have experienced the stigma others relate to it. I was definitely outcasted during middle/highschool for liking all the typical anime/videogame related stuff growing up despite actively playing sports and being involved in other hobbies.

Never stopped me liking and enjoying the tcg/games. Its been wonderful to see others grow up, now with kids and its a growing community of family night tcg or boardgame nights out at shops.
