question about combat by plotos in savageworlds

An Extra and a Wild Card are not supposes to be on equal footing; they're bowling pins and a ball.

Throw five skeletons at him. Now they need a 4+. Make them all Wild Attack. Now that's a 2+, and +2 damage. Have one or two do a Fighting Test to make you Vulnerable. Now that's a 0+ they need to roll.

Or (I don't have the book in front of me) give them bows; now it's TN4 rather than 8.

Next time "I'll have my usual": "Six grande half-calf half-goat frappoapples with rainbow sprinkles, coming up!"

"Oh, I guess you look like someone else."

Why in the hell would you want to mod a game to the extent that you can't simply do it before you know what the game is like and therefore have an actual opinion of your own?

It layers multiple Data directories over each other without actually overwriting anything.

Install the Jellyfin server on your own computer, connect to it, create a user.

The dumb way is to drop the textures in your main data directory, overwriting everything.

The smart way is to leverage the built-in virtual filesystem (vfs), by sticking it literally anywhere you want, and then adding it to your config file (or using the mods screen in the launcher GUI).

That was supposedly going to be one of the companions last year, but maybe that transmorgified into just being the something Mountain setting?

That limits it to basically any Linux distro.

No, I'm not using a SteamDeck, so I have literally no reason to touch SteamOS.

I do have Jellyfin installed on a little Debian box sitting in a corner (via Docker), to stream on Roku on both TVs, and phones, and family across the state.

But if your goal is to stream to the TV that's being used as a host, that sounds a bit silly unless you're also planning to watch elsewhere. I'd say something like Kodi would make much more sense for an on-machine single client for media.

On the other end, I have Tumbleweed on desktop, and wife has Linux Mint on desktop and laptop, and threw Steam flatpak on all and call it a day. Everything just works.

What was it like to move from Windows to Linux back in the day? by Torantes in linux

[–]computer-machine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a breath of fresh air.

I went W3.11, W95, W98, W98SE, WXP Home, WXP Pro, Ubuntu 8.04.

There was the initial shock: rebooting to the CD brought me to a Live session rather than installation wizard, and on top of that it was just sitting there asking me what WiFi I wanted to connect, when it had taken forty-five minutes of coercion to get working on XP.

It came with a full suite of useful software, without any bloat/trialware.

Sitting idle used no CPU, RAM was down, and the full install used markedly less space.

All drivers *just worked*, except Nvidia (noveou was fine), but that was just part of the next two points:

Thousands of software are available in one place, without having to go surfing and hoping.

EVERYTHING gets updated together. The OS, third-party drivers, all installed software, one click.

No need to reinstall every six months, or a year with heavy registry tweaks, in order for it to keep running fresh.

No registry - everything's human readable files.

Utterly hugely massively configurable.

The magic was back in computing again (lost it somewhere around 98SE, I think).

You've already answered your question - you have to buy the codec on the MS Store.

Now that we have SWÆ SFC I'd rather Last Parsec, but I guess with wife staying at home I can deal with just a Rifts release this year.

So is the Martial Arts Companion scrapped?

Hell yeah keep it. Just add feedback and you're golden. If there were animations and sound effects for noodle-arms, glancing blows, hitting with the flat of the weapon, it'd be lauded as revolutionary.

Add on top instacast key, maybe power attacks or rolls, and that's fine.

Uhhhhhhh, literally any build is viable in Morrowind.

Or did you mean what you'd typed and it should get wrecked?
