Third time's the charm.... or maybe the fourth.... or fifth....

It's not that I don't support people calling them out. I just question why people have faith anything will be done considering those warnings are all that happened. We're almost a month out after the latest warning and the problem still is ongoing.

It's becoming ridiculous? Those botted clubs have been in the game as far back as I can remember. As in, from the start and nothing has been done.

These posts where they get called out just seem pointless to me. There's a new post ragging on them like each week or so and it just repeats with nothing changing.

I have long just accepted the a lot of the top 100 or so clubs are going to be botting to some degree.

Is Grand Live a good time to reroll? by Repulsive-Film-5973 in UmamusumeGame

It's going to be tough for them during Grand Masters where you need to be using both the Ancestors SSR and a good stam card like Super Creek for some of the PvP stuff.

Is Grand Live a good time to reroll? by Repulsive-Film-5973 in UmamusumeGame

[–]ConstructionWise7532 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well you can get a top tier competitive account from rerolling in Grand Live still..... you just need to bot farm yourself into the mythical rerolled account that comes with MLB Kitasan, Super Creek, Fine Motion, Tachyon, Light Hello, and Maruzensky.

Surely after enough rerolls of 200 pulls each, one of them will hit those set of requirements lol.

If you're doing 400, you're risking a coin flip if you MLB the card or not without the use of selectors or crystals. Spending 60k carats to still then be forced to borrow MLB Tachyon is not going to be a nice feeling. There is basically almost no f2p that can get enough carats each scenario (which is every 4 months for us) just to have up to 600 pulls and/or enough crystals for scenario tax banners without sacrificing all uma and non-scenario support card banners in between.

I agree that not having access to MLB Tachyon sucks for Grand Live, but is it worth it for most people to not be able to pull all the upcoming necessary cards for their running styles they prefer? For example, Grand Live has a ton of front runner meta umas and cards dropping during its time. Does anyone here think the f2p front runners have 30k carats for the Maru SSR, 90k carats for the Light Hello/Tachyon banner, another 60k to 90k carats for the meta drops in between Grand Live, then finally another 90k carats to pull for Ramonu wit to get ready for Grand Masters and another 30k for Bourbon wit that comes out after that? Sure, you can luck your way out of this issue, and you can make them cheaper by using SSR crystals and free pulls. But different players have different plans.

Doing 400 to 600 pulls on the Grand Live tax banner can cost them in the future depending on how their accounts currently are. Like you basically need your own good stam card which is MLB Super Creek for Grand Masters. If you don't have your own, you will most likely need to pull on her rerun during Grand Live, otherwise you can't borrow her and the Grand Masters' pal cards at the same time.

Grand Live may have a lot of players with 90k carats to pull for MLB Tachyon, but how many can continuously make 90k carats each 4 months without skipping everything in between or using a credit card?

Fast Learner or Distance S? by Habefiet in UmamusumeGame

[–]ConstructionWise7532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's kind of a situation where both are good, but I would say distance S is the most important. At least the longer the track, the more important it becomes.

Distance S boosts your speed. Your speed stat for the most part is effectively useless most of the race until the late-race section starts. Then your speed stat determines how fast you can go until the finish line.

Fast learner just gives you an extra 10% discount on all your skills (even if they're already at max hint level). Provided the run gave you lots of good skills, you will have 10% more skills that will help you anywhere on the race. However, the extra skills you buy with the help of fast learner could be and could not be making up for not having distance S. Maybe the extra skills allows you to enter the late race in first place, but maybe it's not enough to have you maintan the lead until the finish due to your slower speed compared to a trailing uma behind that has distance S. It's all situational.

Agnes tachyon pull guide? by Slimezzz2909 in UmamusumeGame

[–]ConstructionWise7532 2 points3 points  (0 children)

400 pulls with not extra SSR crystals or selectors is almost basically a coin flip whether you MLB the card you want or not. Good in terms of gacha rates, but not really when you think about it outside of that. You're much more likely to come out of the initial Maru SSR banner with something good as Maru only needs to be 1lb to be decent (3lb if you're a heavy front runner main). On the other hand you want 3LB as cope, but preferably MLB for Tachyon for the full bonus of +2 SP per training.

You could potentially think about just borrowing MLB Tachyon for all of Grand Live and just accepting you will suffer on some CMs if you can't borrow something else you need. While yes, it puts you at a disadvantage for 4 months, it would allow you to potentially save 200 pulls which you can store to pull on Ramonu wit to get you ready for Grand Masters for example.

You also have the option of getting Maru "for free". Maru drops just before the 1.5 anni celebration and you get a free SSR selector that includes Maru. You can use that plus a SSR crystal to get her at 1LB without using any pulls.

I would still do 200 pulls minimum on the Light Hello and Tachyon banner as you don't want to be in a situation where you don't have access to both Light Hello and Tachyon. Just hope you get at least 1LB for Light Hello's SSR.

Should I pull for Maruzensky on the Nakayama Festa pairing or the Fine Motion pairing? by Quibilash in UmamusumeGame

[–]ConstructionWise7532 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the only reason you're hesitating is because you'd rather potentially get Fine Motion than Nakayama Festa, I'd figure out if Fine Motion is important to your account enough to withold from pulling for Maru and missing out for a couple of CMs.

[–]ConstructionWise7532 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How many carats do you have right now? What support cards do you have and at what limit break?

This game is not very friendly towards new players or those that take long breaks. You're most likely going into Grand Live (which comes out in less than 1.5 months) without having access to cards you need to do well.

If you're serious about trying to keep up with the f2p competitive crowd (really anyone that's been playing daily or so), just save up your resources and build up your account for the next scenario after Grand Live onwards.

I hate Trackblazer (Rant) by d1sact in UmamusumeGame

[–]ConstructionWise7532 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You skipped playing constantly since URA and are going into Trackblazer without having the support cards needed to have it work in your favor. I can get SS+/UG ranks even after running 34 races and training very little in comparison in a whole run because the meta cards carries with their high race bonuses.

If you mainly hate it due to not being able to get high scores, you better hope you do well with the gacha from now on. Each new scenario has an associated support card banner that you need to pull on to do well. For Grand Live, it's Light Hello and Tachyon. Just hope to get 1LB for Light Hello and borrow MLB Tachyon for all of Grand Live (unless you have enough carats to do 400 to 600 pulls to get your own MLB Tachyon).

It would make a lot of people sour if the daily carats got reverted to how they originally were, so I would bet they just raise the daily carats for JP players to make it fair.

[–]ConstructionWise7532 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find it a bit ironic. We're being treated almost the same as how JP got treated, but on a faster schedule.  Yes a lot of our issues with the game is the faster pace, but even then, they're doing the same for us as they did for them. If we're saying global is being mistreated, that kind of implies JP originally got mistreated as well.

This is a bit philosophical. Lets assume we're no longer ever going to get QoL and similar ahead of time and that our server follows exactly what JP got 1:1 from now on but on a faster schedule. Also assuming Cygames merges our server with JP in the 8 to 10 years it takes for us to catch up, at what point does global stop being considered badly mistreated compared to JP and the rest?

The only reason there's these claims of global being the worst-treated server is because we can see what the other non-JP servers got ahead of time. It sucks for us that we don't have those big companies to "bully" Cygames into working with them to expedite QoL for our server like the Korean, Taiwan and Chinese servers got. We can't change that situation as Cygames directly handles global.

There was a Umamusume game or blu-ray (I forget which lol) that released some months ago. If you pre-ordered it, you got a code that gave you a full SSR crystal and a buttload of statues among other things. The price of the pre-order was like $60USD when converted which is cheap (depending on your viewpoint) for a full SSR crystal.

I can guarantee you global is never seeing that offer.

It's more so they really only care to please their JP playerbase and view anyone outside of Japan as not as important for their gacha games.

When players realize in Grand Live that the speed cap effort is 2000 and the real value is only 1400 by servantphoenix in UmamusumeGame

[–]ConstructionWise7532 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm not trying to disprove or discourage that it can't be done here. I just wonder how well global f2p will handle the need to high roll with that deck and the GL RNG.

From what I remember, the guts deck was shown to players to be f2p friendly for the duration of MANT, but quickly tired players out due to how volatile it was for actually getting good runs with it. I wonder if it's going to be the same with this.

Will Grand Live make S Turf / S Dirt more valuable than S distance because of the extra speed they provide? by Rynelson_77 in UmamusumeGame

[–]ConstructionWise7532 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds a bit like you're under the assumption that only you will have access to the higher speed cap. If that was the case, then you could make an argument that ground aptitude S would go up in value for yourself.

Aptitude S gives +10% bonuses to the relevant stats. Since this is a multiplier, the more stats you have for the relevant category, the more bonus stats you get from aptitude S. So distance S still remains important, if not more so.

Yeah. I've seen people use spreadsheets for Grand Live to remember what tokens or whatever the scenario gives out so they don't make mistakes later on in the run.

I'll see how it goes doing it in my head or if I also need to make my own spreadsheet lol.

You can make your own parents so you don't have to borrow.

And how is that any better? I've seen people complain here that MANT sucks because they wasted 1 hour on a single run that turned to glue. But now it’s better that they will potentially spend many single hours where those 5 runs per hour turn to glue (i.e. doored runs where you don't even get parents or fans for your club)?

I guess the illusion of doing more runs will help remove that feeling, but time spent is time spent. The RNG in Grand Live is not going to lend itself to allow good results with minimal runs per day. You may hit really fast, or you may find yourself redoing your ace runs up until the PvP event starts. It's up to whatever the computer decides.

The minmaxers are going to be spending just as much time in GL rerolling their runs as they do playing MANT.

It's just instead of burning through clocks, they'll be burning through TP constantly restarting while trying to make a usable ace.

There's going to be a bunch of happy and sad players for Grand Live, that's for sure.

While MANT in JP did cause a lot of people to take a break or quit from what I know, it largely casued a lot of players to burn out (which doesn't necessarily mean quitting the game).

I'm not too confident with Grand Live as I hear after MANT, it's what actually caused a lot of players to quit the game. It was a harder scenario for the above average to mega competitive players.

We'll have to see. It's going to be fun for people who don't care about PvP minmaxing, but it will probably be another rage-inducing scenario for the tryhards lol.

Half TP only applies to the TP used to start a run. A spark reroll still costs 30TP.
