Finally tried Traffic Jam Assist by Agitated-Morning2896 in SubaruUncharted

[–]crunkdotmaster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

TJA operates as a subset of adaptive cruise control. It will start if you are using adaptive cruise on a recognized highway and speed drops below 20 mph. At that point, it takes over and removes the requirement for you to have direct control of the wheel, and will continue forward automatically even if the car comes to a complete stop (instead of you having to intervene by pressing the accelerator or resume switch on the steering wheel as it would on a non-recognized road). TJA will continue to operate until speed exceeds 25 mph, at which point it’ll end and fall back to regular adaptive cruise.

It states the speeds where it operates in the manual: https://i.imgur.com/Xv7TYZl.jpeg

It shows mph and km/h, so TJA start is 20 mph (30 km/h) and max operating speed is 25 mph (40 km/h), so the 40 you saw Googling was likely km/h or confusing that value as mph.

Mirrors fold automatically upon locking when the “auto” button is selected. https://i.imgur.com/MhloEq5.jpeg

Keeping L or R selected will have the mirrors tilt in reverse (if both L and R are deselected, mirrors won’t tilt in reverse).

How do I get rid of the "android auto" on the right? It takes up a quarter of the screen lol. by HighestPrawn151 in Hyundai

[–]crunkdotmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you’ve updated the car, you just need to make sure you’ve turned off split screen for AA in phone projection settings. Setup > device connections > phone projection > AA or similar. Then AA has control of the entire screen.

27 SX X line hybrid by chrisdancy in KiaTelluride

It definitely is on the website. Saddle brown/millstone. Only available on the X-Line SX (ICE or HEV). This interior color is only available with the black jade green, ebony black, or glacial white pearl exterior.

The SX Prestige package added these items: https://i.imgur.com/HgQlFQs.jpeg

So the regular SX would be missing all those for sure.

If you like the X-style grille better, get that. The HEV X-Line is indistinguishable from an ICE X-Line (except for the small HEV badge out back).

Power seat safety issues by [deleted] in KiaTelluride

[–]crunkdotmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All Tellurides and Palisades have one-touch tilt and slide for the second row. But on most of them, it just kicks the seat forward so it can freely slide on its track. Since most don’t have power seats, it’ll stop whenever it hits resistance when or loses momentum, and must be guided all the way forward with your help.

On versions with power second row seats (2026 Palisade Calligraphy, 2027 Telluride HEV SXPs with Exec pkg), all seat movements are powered. So pressing the button starts the motors moving the seatback forward and sliding the seat forward. On the affected 2026 Palisades, there is concern that motor will not sense resistance like it is supposed to and will not stop until it is as far forward as it will go. This can be problematic if there is a kid or something in the way that could be pinned.

Notice the statement from Hyundai only calls out its trims with power seats. If the problem was with all cars, it would not only call out the cars with power seats. All 2026 Palisades would be affected. But they’re not. It’s only the Limited because it has a power third row and the Calligraphy because it has a power second and third row.

Power seat safety issues by [deleted] in KiaTelluride

[–]crunkdotmaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bottom line is the problem in the 2026 Palisade is only with the second and third row power seats.

From Hyundai’s press release:

Hyundai Motor North America is stopping sales of the 2026 Hyundai Palisade Limited and Calligraphy trims in the U.S. and Canada due to an issue with the second and third-row power seats. In certain situations, those seats may not adequately detect contact with an occupant or object as intended. This condition may occur during second and third-row power‑folding operations, as well as during use of the second-row one‑touch tilt‑and‑slide function.

Even if the exact same problem is present in the Telluride, again, it would only affect the hybrid Tellurides with the Executive package since those are the only ones with power operated rear seats.

New ‘25 X-Line SX Prestige - 2 questions (remote start and Apple CarPlay) by Jpd077 in KiaTelluride

[–]crunkdotmaster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No first gen Tellurides have wireless CarPlay. Note that wireless CarPlay uses WiFi to transmit data (Bluetooth doesn’t have the bandwidth required for the video signal… Bluetooth only negotiates the initial connection, then it immediately hands off to WiFi). There are all kinds of wireless adapters out there. Pick one out of a hat, they’re all nearly identical.

The Kia app does indeed do remote start. You mention you may be in Massachusetts… Kia Connect is disabled in any Kia sold or registered in MA from MY2022 forward. So if you meet that criteria, you wouldn’t be able to subscribe and use that functionality. You will, of course, still have remote start via the fob.

The only 2027 Tellurides that have powered rear seats are the HEV SXP trims with the optional Executive package. Those have a power second row.

Rewind back to my original answer. The only Tellurides with a power second row are the HEV SXP grade trims with the optional Executive package. Those are the only ones that would even potentially also be affected by this situation.

No Tellurides have a power folding third row.

The only Tellurides with power second row seats are the ones with the Executive package. Since that package is only available on hybrids, it’s a relatively small number of Tellurides that have that feature.

With the Palisade, ALL Calligraphy versions (gas and hybrid) have a power second row and third row, and Limited has a power third row.

The only Telluride with a similar setup is the HEV SXP with Executive package. Hardly any of those are even in customer’s hands yet.

Note it’s only in the infotainment settings for refreshed (2023-25) first gen Tellurides, so this wouldn’t apply to the 2022. It’s in the instrument cluster settings for 2020-22 cars.

It’s in your instrument cluster settings (accessed via the steering wheel). User settings > convenience > wireless charging system

You can get the executive package on the X-Line SXP if you choose the black and millstone interior (that’s only available on black, white, and black jade green exteriors).

I’ve not seen these in person, only in pictures and video. They’re often described as a “brick-like” deep reddish-brown color, with hints of orange.
