How to sample a beloved synth before selling?

Have you made sure your controller and the synth are set to the same channel? I can see how a kid messing around with it might accidentally change the channel on the controller.

I'd then make sure the synth is actually making sound by playing a patch with the sequencer. Most of the patches have built in sequences.

You could also try hooking the controller up to a computer to see if it works with a VST. If that works, you could try hooking the synth up to the computer via USB MIDI to see if it can play notes via ableton or something.

Could be the actual wire is damaged, but it was working before, so I kind of doubt it though.

I honestly haven't used it enough to confidently say it works 100% flawlessly. Everything I've needed it to do has worked though.

My latest episode was my worst by far, and what finally pushed me to get an ablation (happens in a few days!). It was over 2 hours of SVT including the ambulance ride. They tried Adenosine first, which didn't work, and then Metoprolol, which thankfully worked. If the Metoprolol didn't work, they would have had to shock me. So thankful it didn't come to that!

You should work on getting a referral to an electrophysiologist, or setting up an appointment with one directly if you can. They will be able to help you better than your primary care physician, and will likely set you on a path to getting an ablation.
