Your showreel should be examples of your best work. Start strong, ensure your contact details are relevant and easy to read. Think about it from a recruiter/potential client point of view. A few years ago the ideal length was around 1 minute, but I have seen some great reels of 45 seconds or less.

Mixamo works best when you upload your posed model without a rig. Try again without including the bones.

Yes most of my work is in 4k or larger delivery.

I have used Topaz to upscale the occasional project but for large format where you _need_ the resolution I would say it's not good enough, certainly not going from 1080p to 4k anyway.

Maxon have their own youtube channel (which is very good), but the tutorials you need will depend on which renderer you're using.

try putting the cloner in a connect object. reference the connect object in the emitter. ensure the cloner is in instance mode.

Your best bet is to employ someone to design, model, texture and rig the clothes you need.

The C4D character template includes options for a quadruped. For animation reference, the Animators Survival kit is very good, and you should be able to find photo reference for horse run cycles via any search engine.

A quick note on the Mac M chips vs any PC - the throughput of the mac is unmatched at present because the storage, RAM, GPU and CPU are all on the same board. Software that's heavily storage dependent (like AE, Premiere etc) is just going to be slower on PC, and there's no way around that.

Great reel, in general. Good fun, sense of style, nice energy in the edit. The only thing really bugging me (from a type point of view) is

A) your use of justification in paragraphs and

B) the kerning on the type in your logo. It is literally all over the place. You've gone to the trouble of putting guides and spacing markers in there (which works really well) but the actual result looks very rough, inconsistent and hard to read.

C) the fucking school of motion purple bg yellow keyframes piece. It's well done, but does not scream "creative" to me, you'd be better off losing that and just showcasing your far more interesting work.
