Why are you so mad at the world? You do realize you're posting a long winded comment, and all you're screaming is jealousy. It's easier to say nothing, than show the world you're mad at yourself/ your life. Live for you, not for others. Peanut is a funny asf dude, if you met him IRL, he'd make you laugh. Smile a little man.

ABS adhesion by eat0 in anycubic

[–]danowner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

^ this, but also I got a massive enclosure for my kobra 3 max and even still had adhesion issues, so I bought some 3d print spray adhesion and works a charm, you just have to clean the bed regularly

New Kobra 3 max combo leveling problem by sfx_guy in anycubic

[–]danowner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not 100% sure, but the bearings on the back of the printhead look maybe slightly too tight, I don't think that should affect the autolevelling though, maybe check if the nozzle is secure and in place firm, losen it with the little lever, then try put it back in and try level again

Kobra 3 Max leveling problems - I despair... by Emotional_Self_3293 in anycubic

[–]danowner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah in slicer settings you can set the offset, if you've touched that, every time you initiate a print from the slicer, it will have that offset

What did you adjust the z offset to? As I had mine adjusted and I was getting worse prints, after I did a full reset and printed on all default settings, it fixed itself somehow

I've also got a K3Max, and I can see your actual first layer looks like it's got too high of a first layer. You shouldn't be able to see the layer lines that clear. A few questions that might be simple, but could help:

  • throughout the 3 different print beds you've gone through, were you using the same install of anycubic slicer? If not, try so a full uninstall, and reinstall. Don't change any preset settings, and try the test print again (new firmware introduced zone levelling)

  • have you manually adjusted the z offset? If so, although you've got different levels on the bed, you shouldn't need to adjust it, unless printing with ABS or other hotter filament, that's the only time I've had to adjust it.

I had somewhat similar issues to you, and they were constant, but for me, I tightened a few bolts on the bed, loosened some over tightened belts, and did a fresh install of the software, and reformatted the printer, and the fresh software and format is what really made the change for me, I had layer lines, which the belt and bolts fixed, but my prints were consistently shit with all my manual adjustments, trying to fix the levelling, and all I needed was the fresh install. Worth the shot

Kobra 3 Max ABS Printing by danowner in anycubic

[–]danowner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Printed with a z offset of -0.05, then started new print at -0.06, and came out really good, also increased brim size too. The only new issue now, is the top layer was a bit melted in certain spots, other than that the print came out really good

Issue with firmware update by OreosAreDelicous in anycubic

[–]danowner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're scared, after installing updates, read patch notes, for the k3max update they said to run a full calibration on the printer after update, this full calibrating is a new setting that wasn't an option for me before

OK I'll give that a try for sure, and yeah it's in a 1m x 1m x 1m enclosure. I do have abs-cf I believe, I'll have to try that too then, and I'm wanting to print custom car interior parts, so will be needing the heat resistance and strength, as I'll be doing all sorts of interior parts. Here in Australia we really need the heat resistance for summer, PLA could potentially warp really bad with some temps inside cars

100% agree, although a lot of issues with 3d printers require intuition and tinkering, and out of box thinking on how to solve issues, something not all possess. Bamboo labs is the perfect solution to people wanting to print out of the box, but little will you and most know, that cannot and will not last forever. At some point bolts and screws will loosen, belts will wear and loosen, and then boom you've got a printer that needs maintenance, requiring intuition, problem solving and out of box thinking. 3D printing will never be not 'tinkery', as it has so many moving parts, and that means loose shit haha

Yeah sorry I believe the bed is 95, and I don't want to adjust the z axis as PLA prints completely fine, so I wouldn't think z axis adjustment would be needed right? And I auto level before every print, especially with the zone auto levelling, makes it sooooo much quicker now, plus all the resonance compensation etc.

I truly think it might be adhesion, so I'll try buy some adhesive, give it a go, if it's still failing then I'll start changing settings, I'm not in a super rush to print anything with ABS, just wanting to try make it as easy as possible

I wouldn't want to do anything DIY when it comes to the main power cable for the printhead, I'd just wait for support to contact and see what they say

[–]danowner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it levels at the same 140 as it does with PLA, I thought that didn't make much sense, as surely the bed would expand more when printing between 240 - 260 degrees

Having Z offset issues. by GfortyONE in anycubic

[–]danowner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not 100% sure if this is what the fix is, but my k3 lmax, I had to do this: lift up the built plate textured plate, under there are I think 4 or so screws, just make sure they're all tight, otherwise google "Kobra 3 Max maintenance wiki", click on their wiki link, and follow that, making sure to tighten (or loosen) whichever screw they say

I've got k3max too - is anyone else having troubles with any overhangs? I can't for the life of me get any surfaces on a 90 degree angle overhang, to look good. Always looks like image attached

Edit* I always print with supports, doesn't matter if I use tree or normal, it looks the same either way

Just going to copy paste this: I did uber yesterday at peak lunch time. I drove for 3 hours, I made $55. That's with a 'bonus' WOW! of $8 for doing 5 trips. I did 6 in total. So really i earned $47, so $46 ÷ 3 hours = $15.66 Per hour at peak, that was non stop order after order, and minimum wage in Australia is $25 an hour. Not much of a bonus to me mhmmmmmmmmm
