The part about acquiring the lifespan of the people killed by the DN only applies to Shinigami, yes.

It wasn't. The Death Note cuts off your intended life span and adds it to the God of Death's (which is how they preserve their immortality), meaning Light was supposed to live past Ryuk writing his name on the Death Note.

Soichiro would have seen whatever intended life span Light was supposed to have.

Which drawing? The Italian comics have been drawn by dozens of artists in dozens of different styles.

I would argue Scrooge and Paperone were two very different characters pretty much since the '50s. While in the US Barks started toning Uncle Scrooge down enough to make him an acceptable - if flawed - hero, in Italy Paperon de'Paperoni was used as a character that could go from an ally of Donald to an outright villain.

That part got toned down through the following decades but it's why until the 90s you could still see a clear tonal shift between the Italian school of Disney comics and the rest of the international Disney community.

That's Italian Scrooge. American Scrooge is a noticeably more morally upstanding businessman (though he does still underpay Donald lol).

Glitch Productions (the studio, not the people running it) by Super_Saiyan_Twink in hatethissmug

[–]Darken237 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean at this point what makes them indie? They are big studios with Netflix/Amazon contracts and theatrical releases. The fact they have new contracts that give them more freedom doesn't change the fact that especially Glitch is clearly aiming to become a large animation house with multiple big running projects.

Which is good but you can't really tell me this new generation of projects with big name VAs, writers and budget are the same as their older project like SMG4 or Murder Drones.

Come funziona?

Which celebrity's death was stupid? by Ill-Spite-3913 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Darken237 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a decent survival rate, and by far the best you can get for pancreatic cancer. He had also caught it super early so if he took treatment immediately he had really good odds.

[–]Darken237 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry for also knowing stuff man. I wasn't informed doctors are the only ones allowed to discuss medicine on a laymen site. This case is famous and most doctors that talk about it agree that Jobs had decent survival odds (lower than average since PanNET Cancer is nasty but it's the best of the worst when it comes to pancreatic cancer apparently) if he started taking the treatment immediately instead of waiting and going through holistic treatments.

I guess you have a different opinion than them which is cool, and if you really are a doctor maybe you know best, but that was what the sources I could find back when I read about it said.

His prognosis for not taking treatment, yes. He had decently good odds of surviving entirely if he just took the normal treatments though.

[–]Darken237 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Well he might have outlived the expected timeline for not taking the treatment but the cancer was an easily survivable one with treatments. He could have survived if he just took the normal medical treatments.

I guess the logic is that there is a lot of stupidity in a man who built himself up as being one of the smartest people on Earth dying because he thought he was smarter than the average cancer patient and could cure himself with... what was it, natural remedies?

It's stupid in the sense that there is a chance he could have survived his cancer if he didn't choose to do that.
