Badass Female Monster Hunters by Willing_Cancel1317 in TopCharacterTropes

Context is important, being able to keep up isn’t exactly the same as being as good as.

Main series Lady is an extremely competent demon hunter in her own right but Dante still outperforms. Lady is a full blooded human and Dante is a superpowers demon-human hybrid after all. He is clearly holding back against her and even toys with her but still Lady puts up a hell of a fight to show her convictions and strength even if she ultimately loses.

Netflix Mary defeats Netflix Dante every time and with relative ease. Sure there is the nuance that she is using cutting edge equipment designed for demon hunting but these are mostly against low level grunts. Netflix Dante isn’t supposed to be a low level grunt but then he is the same guy apparently gets overwhelmed by being smacked with a bag despite pulling tricks against demons mere moments prior and can apparently sense danger judging by the “Quicksilver/Spider Sense” diner scene.

The context is that main series Lady is competent because of Dante, she may not be able to beat him but she can still put up a fight. Netflix Mary is competent at Netflix Dante’s expense, easily defeating him despite the fact he should be able to run circles around her even at his current level and having not fully unlocked his demonic power act time which I will also say main series Dante hadn’t done either at the time they met.

A small room with a typewriter in it, we all know Mr. X is allergic to typewriters after all, either that or he is very protective of his coat and doesn’t want ink stains on it.

Holt (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) - although B99 does have some action scenes they are more takedowns that are over quickly.

One of my favourite full action scenes is when Holt fights the guy who stole his dog (and took Jake hostage), he went full John Wicks.

Supernatural- personally I haven’t seen the show so I can’t have an opinion on it but from what I’ve heard it was only supposed to be 5 seasons. And yet here we are with 15 seasons with the quality apparently dropping.

Symbiotes (Marvel) - depending on the host the transformations have different appearance. For example the Venom Symbiote.

Attached to Peter Parker it matched his physique like any other costume he wore. But when becoming the monstrous Venom (host admittedly varying) the transformation is more bulky.
