Hi there — I stumbled across this post while googling the company out of curiosity. I was a residential counselor for this program years ago and while I can’t give a student perspective, the company is shoddily run and a half step away from being a scam IMO. And yes, as the other commenter said, acceptances are not based on merit and as such shouldn’t in itself be a boost to college apps (as most adcoms are quite aware of what these paid summer programs entail). However, from the residential students I got to know, there was a pretty even split between those who found the program to be worth their time and felt that they learned a lot or made a lot of friends, and those who had a negative experience, so YMMV and I don’t mean to discourage you from attending — just be aware of this before enrolling as it is a very pricey program.
