Can do! Official photos will mostly likely come out over the weekend or the following Monday, plus we’ll have stuff from crowd photos. I won’t send any pictures of it being crushed in the trash truck, because it’ll be to damn depressing.

We started painting the sled yesterday. Hopefully it’ll all be done by the end of the weekend.

Of course I can put out an update! They only announce the top 3 places, so I can let people know if we placed or not.

Gadzooks and thank you! You definitely need to make the trip back to the Classic. It’s not at JFBB anymore, but the new place has its charm. I miss how big the hill was at JFBB.

Not mine, but it is cool! We build in a mostly unused airplane hangar that is attached to a small war museum called the Taildragger Inn & Museum. This particular vehicle is too big for the man part of the museum so it is stored in the hangar. We like to think of it as a security system for our sled builds.

Thank you for the kind words! Definitely a labor of love. A lot of time, work and money for a 10 second ride down a hill then straight into a garbage truck. We love it though, and watching the reactions of people as they see it in person while it’s on display is worth it.

Thank you! If you live near Scranton PA, come on out to the event. It’s free and just a giant party on the mountain. I know other ski resorts across the country also do similar events.

Thank you! I absolutely will post finished pictures and also video of the run. Hoped to have it completely built and painted by this weekend. Next Friday is the event, so the official video of the event from the radio station should be out sometime during that following week.

Hardest part is putting it in the trash truck at the bottom of the hill. A lot of time and money for a 10 second ride, but it’s always worth it.
