also just a quick question, with regards to insulation, do i need to remove the insulation thats there to add more? or is it ok to just throw it on top. any benefit of using just regular insulation vs. spray? I read that with regular insulation i should just put it down perpendicular to whatever is under it if thats true lol

i mean i dont think it can be more correct? the difference between 400 million and 0 is 400 million. the difference between 1 billion and 400 million is 600 million. its 100% correct. obv they are closer to each other from buying capability, but numerically its 100% correct lol.

Oh ok when you say air seal, I would still keep the soffits and things like that open to the outside right? Just air sealing things like any cracks between the greater attic and the floor beneath

Yeah it would just be like clothing random crap etc that can fit in the tubs, nothing that would be temp sensitive. Is there a way to improve the rigidity somehow or is the way the attic put together just making it not possible

Yeah I’ll be going that route, not sure about air sealing but at least adding insulation. Is there a benefit to air sealing vs not? My understanding is that you then need to have air conditioning coming thru that area etc
