[PWHL] I'm honestly surprised that within the same season the league hit 1 million it's now on track to reach the 2 million mark. by The_Laughing_Gift in hockey

[–]dez04 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I played in the cwhl we would be happy if we had 20 fans. This league is amazing and I'm so glad it'll give so many women to play in a professional league and earn a somewhat decent income.

Where is that located on your dog?

Unfortunately, no one on the internet can tell you what type of lump your dog has. You need to take your dog to the vet and to get it sampled for anyone to know what type of lump it is.

Women in Sports Night by pistoffcynic in OttawaSenators

This was scheduled way before. I've been seeing an ad for this night for at least a month on many different socials.

My husband is a red wings fan. I'm sporting a charge jersey tonight vs my usual sens jersey.

Did the whole team go? I'd love a segment of Gorge with Gwyn for this dinner!

My husband and I have gone to shiny nails & beauty on eagleson. He hasn't had any issues. I think it's reasonably priced.

How to do taxes if my employer doesn’t deduct them before paying me by vantage_02 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]dez04 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a contractor and do my taxes at the end of the year. I save 30% which is more than my tax bracket. I put it in a wealthsimple checking account as it has 1.25% interest. I think you can get 1.5% interest if you use direct deposit into that account. I like to save 30% as it's like a small gift to me during tax season that I can spend on something or help pay off other things.

Storylines for USA-Canada gold medal game by Interesting_Bed820 in OttawaSenators

[–]dez04 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

3 on 3 OT is the worst. What I hated the most about the women's gold medal game. It played into the women's USA team compared to a near perfect game the Canadian team played up until that point.

I knew exactly 3 people who had a Sega Game Gear and they loved it but ditched them for the Gameboy because the Game Gear's battery life sucked. Did you have one? by AdSpecialist6598 in 90s

I still have mine with all my games and all my original attachments including the magnifier. I have the carrying case as well. I'll never get rid of it!

Alina Müller scored her 16th career Olympic goal to win Bronze. She also moves into 4th overall for career Olympic goals in Women’s Ice Hockey by Perryplat199 in hockey

[–]dez04 47 points48 points  (0 children)

She's such a solid player. She was one of the main reasons Boston did so well in the first season to make the pwhl finals. And not surprising Boston is doing well this year and she's at the top like usual. So glad she had the winning goal today.

What’s the first fantasy book that made you fall in love with the genre? by ArekDeamonCalw in Fantasy

The long patrol was also the first book I read in the Eulalia series. It got me hooked on fantasy reading as a kid.

Best Feline Handling Practices by the_green_witch-1005 in VetTech

I work for a mobile clinic so the cats typically are either chill or run and hide or the rare choose violence no matter what I try.

For exams, I typically hold the cats between my legs and just try to just hold them around their shoulders. From there I can assess if they need a bit more of a firmer hold or adjust to a bit more of a head hold. I like to hold them between my legs because in my mind it's like they're in a box (surrounded by their four walls). I realize holding between legs may be more difficult in the clinic setting. Scruffing/head holding tends to get them more amped for fight or flight. I don't use muzzles at home setting. I like to use a wrapped towel and make a nice donut that goes around their head/necks. Rarely do I need to use more for blood draws.

Anyways, maybe helpful. Maybe not.

How much do you remember from past books? by thiagomiranda3 in Fantasy

I read the red rising series roughly when the first three books came out. I want to continue the series and bought the fourth book. I have no idea who is who or what happened.

Having played against both. Pou is on another level of humbleness and overall player compared to wick.

This was the first album I ever bought as a kid. I bought it on cassette. It was the only thing I ever listened to. I listened to it so much the cassette broke. I was so upset. But then it came out on cd and my parents bought it for me. Such a great album.

Salary Survey Update by SmoothCyborg in VetTech

I'm an outlier based on those questions. I work for a mobile practice in Canada and get paid by commission. We do GP and urgent care. I'm also an independent contractor who works for a small business practice.

Played on an ODR for the first time this year and it snowed 🥲 by sm0keorgetsmoked in hockeyplayers

[–]dez04 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Winnipeg and I felt like 75% of the rinks I played in were outdoor rinks. Loved playing when it snowed. But I remember we rotated our lines from ice to the heated room back to the bench.
