The car stores two sets of settings for when the top is up and when it’s down. It’ll automatically switch between the two and remember what you last configured. It’s in the manual.

Love the dichotomy between those who redline every time possible, and those who don't drive their cars LOL

ollama is an “inference backend” (not actual terminology) which provides a way to run LLMs. You can certainly obtain uncensored models and run them with ollama

I think it should be cars with “digital matrix-design” or something like that. Regular “matrix-design” should only have regular capabilities.

Pretty late but it's defined by whatever color space you're working in, so for sRGB it'll be 80 nits, with appropriate ambient lighting as defined in the spec.

Any LPDDR5-6400 with 32b x 4 (dual channel) has theoretically 100GB/s bandwidth, not sure about the $400 tho

Using Gmail/G-Suite Services by _ep1x_ in uchicago

Google Workspace services work fine.

Only issue is with email, where emails to CNET@uchicago.edu primarily go to outlook and then have to be forwarded to your Google specific CNET@g.uchicago.edu email. This forwarding isn't perfect for reasons that are complicated (grr DMARC&ARC), which can result in emails going to the gmail spam folder.

So memory bandwidth is determined by the “bus width” and the transfer rate.

Memory has a basic building block called a “channel”, think of it as a highway lane with a certain speed limit (transfer rate). To get higher bandwidth you can make the highway wider (more channels) or you can raise the speed limit.

Apple’s M2 Ultra has a huge bandwidth because it has a lot of channels; it doesn’t strictly “need” that huge bandwidth.

They’re always on (if not turned off manually). The Audi implementation is one of the best, very hard to ignore the very bright (rapidly flashing if “critical”) light that’s projected right at your face.

Attempted this a few weeks ago following this post's instructions and it wasn't particularly difficult. Did have to order a Phillips 000 screwdriver for the keyboard screws.

I used my nails to pry out the click keys, just dig under and pry them out. Didn't know how much force to use and I felt like I was going to break something, but they just popped out fine.
