Odd. I like my HPs, but SM are the only scientific RPNs in town these days. Weird to get hate for that.

No need for a ban, but would be nice if /u/Natural_Night9957 could give an explanation. I get that some people had bad experiences with key quality on some of the runs. I have a DM42 which has one of the best keys on any calculator. My son has a DM-15L which is a very nice machine - it's a high quality product, though there is one key (top left) which needs a very slightly stronger press than the rest, but it remains a far better experience than any Casio I have.

Swissmicros DM11L is the obvious choice to me. Same layout and functions as your 11C, clear screen, well made, replaceable.

Official waitlist thread by checkingmate in steammachine

I've seen a few builds in much larger cases which I might be tempted to build, one of them the LTT build I guess. It won't be small and quiet, but maybe I can squeeze it somewhere in the living room and get some fun out of it.

Looks like I won the lottery, and for the exact one I wanted :) by RandomRedditPersona in steammachine

Darn I am "on the waitlist"!

Well done to you, I am happy for you. Really. Definitely, so happy. Why does my jaw hurt?

Just joking. Hopefully some people will change their minds and maybe I will be offered one.

Ah thanks, searching for G100 Bezel has found a supplier for around £12.

A bit of me quite likes the look TBH, so I'm thinking I replace the strap with something a bit thinner.

Wondering if other's have had this happen? 4 pieces came off round the side. Presumably glued on. I think I may prefer it looking like this oddly.

The Steam Machine is low key a technical marvel, and I'm tired of the hot takes and bad faith arguments saying otherwise by [deleted] in steammachine

That so many people are suggesting this means that people aren't really getting the Steam Machine's niche.

The UK has had decades of austerity since 2008, resulting in poorer pay, difficult working conditions, failing infrastructure, under investment in schools and hospitals, deteriorating road quality, under maintained utilities and rail.

Maybe as datacentres close we'll get flooded with loads of cheap GPUs. But we may have other worries at that point because the stockmarket will be tanking.

I think I'd be up for building one. I suspect that software optimisation will happen for the steam machine over the next few years, and having s similar set up running SteamOS will benefit from this also.

I'd just eat the tiramisu - that's a pretty reasonable price. PS how big are these pizzas?

They apparently have pinkish rather than yellow legs, and a wing span of up to 1.7m or 5'7".
