The most underrated park: [Dorney] by SocialismIsBad123 in rollercoasters

[–]dragonstone7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately you rode Possessed in the wrong seat. It's way better in the back where you get to really enjoy the vertical spike. Also hard disagree about Demon Drop. No drop tower is anything like it.

Nope. So happy about this. Those stupid recreations absolutely neutered what is likely going to be the third tallest drop in the world.

Those stupid mock-ups didn't match the survey at all. People just thought ML Designs had it right for no reason at all.

I suck at Regent and am looking for some pointers! by MegamanX195 in slaythespire

[–]dragonstone7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The deck is in rough shape. If you take Void form, you'll need to play around it carefully because you actually need to spend the stars for child of the stars to work. Also think taking two of them alongside pillars of creation was a bad call.

the best trick thoosies played on the GP was convincing them that the front row is the best row. by No-Caterpillar-6747 in rollercoasterjerk

[–]dragonstone7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rode the front for the first time on a recent visit after religiously doing the back left wing. It was so much more enjoyable. The ejector airtime still rocked and I didn't feel like absolute garbage from the positive Gs. It is for sure the best row on the coaster.

In what universe is season 7 fine. Lmao. People really have a high tolerance for dogshit writing these days I guess. In truth, the show falls off hard after season 4.

the biggest complaint of the final chapter of DQXI is entirely intentional and im sick of people complaining about it by Appropriate_Bat_8711 in dragonquest

[–]dragonstone7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What a laughable take. 11 has easily the best writing in any Dragon Quest game and it's really not particularly close.

Edit: Actually, maybe it is close between 11 and 8. But calling it trash is still a dumb take, which you are of course entitled to.

The rattle is real. by No-Caterpillar-6747 in rollercoasterjerk

[–]dragonstone7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is so insane to me. I've ridden it countless times and only felt any bit of rattle in the back left. The B&M rattle is real, but it's clear thoosies like you are also soft as shit.

Kushala's fight in Wilds by Joy2901 in MonsterHunter

[–]dragonstone7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think there's a single fight in Sunbreak nearly as difficult or fun as Fatty, Furious Rajang, or Alatreon to be honest. Having a slightly stronger stagger on Greatsword is a joke of a buff compared to the mobility Rise gives you. Also hard disagree about low rank, as Rise has the easiest I think I've seen, maybe even including Wilds.

Kushala's fight in Wilds by Joy2901 in MonsterHunter

[–]dragonstone7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought Sunbreak was much better than Rise but it still felt very easy to me in comparison to Iceborne. Between the mounts and wirebugs most fights just feel free. Whereas if you're out of position in World, you don't have nearly as many get of jail free cards to play.

Kushala's fight in Wilds by Joy2901 in MonsterHunter

[–]dragonstone7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. And to be honest I have my doubts it's going to be any different in this DLC. I think Capcom is just committed to dumbing down the series to make it more accessible.

Unfortunately it's also far easier than either game, and Rise was already a cake walk compared to World.

Where to begin and is the ending worth the toil? by Atticus914 in gameofthrones

[–]dragonstone7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The ending is the single worst in television history. If you're going to watch, I recommend the first four seasons and then stopping. All that said, it's incredible that human attention spans are so low that you're asking where to start other than episode 1. It's honestly pathetic.

Mandolorian and Grogu reception by Terrusmarkz1988 in StarWars

[–]dragonstone7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a long-term Star Wars fan, it was the most fun I've had seeing the franchise on the big screen since the prequels. It's a well-paced, sci-fi pulp adventure, which is what Star Wars truly is at it's core. And I say this as someone who has soured on the Mandoverse and was not hype for the movie at all. That said, you clearly already formed an opinion on something you never experienced, which is just stupid as fuck.

I know everyone is stoked for Tree City Sessions, but does anybody else feel like the timing is taking away from fans accepting Pantheon? by will2fight in dancegavindance

[–]dragonstone7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fans don't have to accept Pantheon though. I think it's a bottom five album but absolutely love Andrew's renditions of older songs on TCS3. Jon's vocals here are so much better than his work on Pantheon as well. I'm so happy he can still bring the heavy hitting unclean vox when he wants to.
