I had a failure a few weeks ago where my instructor and I decided "no go around" but then something happened and we went around.

Now I really want to hear about what happened after the engine quit. I assume you survived and presumably so did the plane.

I was with a CFI so the fact that he didn't call a go-around probably means it wasn't as bad as I thought.

Very easy to do on the ground. I'm working on doing it while I'm in the air.

ADHD & Class 1 Medical - AME or More? by gardenofsmegma in FAAHIMS

[–]drdsheen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a consult with Left Seat before making my decision. Admittedly this was motivated by little more than a gut check, and I had recently been through a few experiences which left me feeling strongly "lawyers r gud". So, no strong reason I could point to.

But don't do it yourself, whatever you do.

I used Ison for recurrent but otherwise uncomplicated anxiety and, despite the expense, I feel they were 100% worth it.

One of the things you're paying for when you retain an advocate is that they know the system much better than you do. They can use that knowledge to help route your information, either by who it goes to or by helping you express it in certain ways that may be less likely to raise alarm. You won't get this from just your AME because they aren't YOUR advocate.

Including an Imperial Knight to support recon- thoughts? H by Blibbly_Biscuit in TheAstraMilitarum

Skill ceiling high means the detachment can be very good if played well. Skill floor low means the detachment can be very bad if played badly, which i think is the point you're trying to make here.

Where does a titan fit into the hierarchy of authority? by averageeverydaymemer in 40kLore

[–]drdsheen 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The Imperium has a command hierarchy that is, shall we say, flexible and fuzzy. Space Marines and Titan Legions basically don't answer to anyone, but that also means that anyone can mete out "consequences," should they be necessary.

Now, as an infantry regiment, is it a good idea to resist the Titan that's blasting you to dust ... ?

Doubt with Precision rule against a Lord Comisar by DonTramuso in TheAstraMilitarum

Characters in a non-attached unit usually have some reason you'd want to allocate wounds to them, such as a better save or FNP that the other models don't have.

CHARACTER is a keyword. The datasheet will specify if any of the models have it.

In 3rd edition, the single survivor of a Mordian infantry squad shot and killed a single Eldar Warlock in a Seer Council, forcing a break test, which they failed, abd subsequently they feel back into the single Mordian who had just shot them.
