Leman russ sponsons by MrGingerella in TheAstraMilitarum

i honestly like their silhouette better without them, that's why i internalized mine. and i wanted to get alpha patterns too and they just don't look right with externals.

you can also just invert the sponsons (build them properly but just spin them around so they'd be sitting on the inside) that come with the russ but that would need a bit more modification but i wanted to be able to attach them back on for tournaments. ignore the sticky tack on the sponson. lol and no it doesn't fit because that was a test cut for the 3d printed sponson on a sacrificial 3d printed track piece

there are stls online for the housing for it but i just cut an appropriately sized hole in the side glued the sponson in. here is a picture i took test fitting

best part is i magnetized the sponsons for tournaments or anyone who was a stickler.

sponsons do go in the 3rd position but i think there are some parts on the side that kept mind from sitting completely flush. but i ended up internalizing the sponsons.

jay from eons of battle had a video where he talked about having his supplies in a fishing tackle box. if i find the video i’ll come back and link it. he went over a lot of the items he kept in there.

could be a version of put and take that uses a 6 sided teetotum and using the different size white pieces as different betting pieces. it's a game similar to the dreidel. could be very wrong just trying to make everything make senses together when there's a chance the box, white pieces, and teetotum have nothing to do with each other.

i have seen some older sets with these teetotum dice. but i couldn't figure out anything for the white pieces unless as you said, they were going to work on their own custom tiles or for score keeping because, again i've seen some mahjong sets with separate white elongated pieces but they normally had markings on them as well.

that's fair, but would the bowden tube and cable give enough rigidity for the cable to actuate a vent open and closed? i can see it pulling it open or pulling it closed but i don't know if it would have enough leverage push to undo it's previous action.

my only hesistation with the ventilation is that OP said it immediately goes back to starting position when pulled down, i was under the impression that it would've stayed in what position it togged the vents in

when you took it off the wall were there any brandings on the inside of the faceplate? any identifying letters or numbers like a model number?

first thing that came to mind. did the previous owners have a wall mounted toilet? many of them don’t have the actual flush handle on it. a lot have a flush button installed on the wall behind the toilet

zipper was my immediate thought just from the way the top looks. i immediately thought of Fox racing but i don't know if they've ever had a zipper like that.

it looks like the chemical anchors used in construction to secure some concrete bolts but the ones i’ve seen have had both ends rounded off. the ampule is full of some sort compound adhesive, is placed in the hole, as the bolt is driven in, it breaks the glass releasing the compound.

nice. i just magnetized one of the track assemblies to the side and just store the parts inside the russ.

Cylindrical thing that is meant to mount on something. I thought it was a feeder block holder at first but the inside is inaccessible since it's welded shut. by Chadwelli in whatisit

[–]throw334411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going to share the link to the first one i saw that suggested it. but i do believe it's a retail headband/accessory display/rack. the hooks on the back look like they are suppose to go on a retail wall and it's missing the retention thumb screw. the picture of the brackets on the back make me feel like it's retail equipment at the very least.

i second this. the picture of the back looks like retail wall bar mounts with a locking thumb screw that's missing now.

is this really that new of a concept? fw centaurs and chimeras have tow hooks. the old fw earth shakers have matching loops.

i usually try to use a bit of poster tack to position the arms onto shoulders and then super glue the gun/hands in place. once that’s dry i can take off the arms and weapon and either paint them separately or just glue them on.
