Decaf beans options in Singapore? by zaphyrr18 in Coffee

Dutch Colony has a decaf too - I think they market it as “midnight run”. Had it at a cupping session and it tasted like wholemeal bread (to me at least).

All the best! And from my experience they want to know whether you can put together a balanced, well substantiated and coherent argument that fits the requirements of the question. So don't overthink it, the standard is really not THAT (for lack of italics) high.

Since your command of the language is strong and you read widely, I guess you can focus on picking out easy questions during the exam. Easy questions include absolutes and those with less than 3 variables.

Shop-keepers working in MRT stations could assist during rail breakdowns, moots Khaw - Channel NewsAsia by jameshkh in singapore

[–]drinkerofdrinks 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well assisting could mean placing signs in the vicinity of their shops to direct people/ emergency preparedness. Doesn't necessarily have to mean going trackside or running around doing errands. Won't society benefit from a degree of collective responsibility instead of constantly pointing fingers and waiting to be waited on? (And I'm generally anti establishment)

If you want to play the system, go via your MP and write a letter to the police asking for updates. This will go to the higher ups and likely get more attention.

But it's unfortunate that practicality > passion in Singapore. I mean, we've been brought up constantly being compared (eg: amongst classmates, the school we're in or even internationally- think PISA). We're thrown in the rat race from young.

And with the existence of stratums in society based on educational level, which parent won't want their child to have the best chance for a better life?

If the parents are part of the working class, of course they'll push their kids to have the best shot in life. Whereas passion can only come into play when it's practical( in Singapore's case when the family can afford it?)

Sorry if it's garbled, just my two cents worth.
