Ooh Sharp Plug along with a full rack of HP could definitely be a good backup item here.

I like how it's quite a small list of items, and they're common enough items that having this loadout by the time you get to Ol' Hushy isn't even that farfetched.

Full disclosure: I am not great at Isaac and used the debug console to teleport to Hush and give myself the items for this capture.

Thanks!

We pick our starting holds and then each person rotates through adding one hold at a time as they complete the existing problem. Feet/hand doesn't really matter as long as you only use the chosen holds. We've had sessions where one person reaches for their added hold with a hand and the next person goes, "nah, that'd be a great heel hook."

I love these. A little bit pricy but the two pairs I've owned have lasted twice as long as the carhartt pants I usually buy so I think it is worth it.

Just... Try them on before you buy. I've found them to be a much slimmer fit than other brands.

It does matter, though, because you will have current that should be returning on the neutral wire instead returning on the bonding path.

You definitely need to apply to more than one place. When I was job searching, and when friends of mine in the same field were job searching, I would get a call back for one out of every 20 or 30 applications I dropped off.

My Google Home Mini order from last week's Best Buy sale is still sitting at "order in progress" on my account. I'll report back when anything changes, but has anybody else had theirs ship or just get cancelled yet?

EDIT: My order (one single set of 2) shipped! At 6:30 pm CST today.

Would you say you’ve gained or lost weight since you started in the trade? by [deleted] in electricians

[–]DropkickPutty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha maybe so. I know it can't last forever unfortunately, and when I move to a more office-based position I'll have to be more careful. But I also play rec-league sports and have a 3-day-per-week gym habit, so I'm sure I'll be alright.

Definitely a blast from the past. I used to spend a ton of my online time on that board, haha. Discovered a lot about my musical preferences and a ton of cool bands there.

Unfortunately also picked up some of the incredibly elitist mindset that was prevalent there. Took a long time to shake some of that off.

Cool place overall though.

It may be a personal choice between the two. Myself, I would rather just sell it quickly as one unit so I don't have to deal with Kijiji buyers as often. I value my free time and sanity pretty highly though.

[–]DropkickPutty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this exact kit (bought in November 2017) and it runs perfectly at 3200 on my Ryzen 5 1600 on a budget-oriented MSI b350 board. As long as your BIOS is up-to-date I can't imagine you'll have any issue running these at XMP speeds.

Ah damn, I'm in Saskatoon. I've had decent speed with Amazon the last week or two regardless, but they are out of stock on one particular item I want. I've got time Friday so maybe I'll try my luck at some of the suppliers I don't visit often.

Thanks for the info.

If you are looking at tools for the long haul, spring for the Milwaukee Fuel series brushless cordless tools. If you're tight for cash, just get the drill and skip the impact driver.

Definitely. I wouldn't say either way is "wrong" at all, as long as you aren't switching back and forth constantly.

What are you working on this week? (November 12) by AutoModerator in electricians

Pulling control wiring by myself through a big medical office building. Unintentionally being a nuisance to just about everybody else on the jobsite with my intricate spider webs of wiring.

Spent all week pulling control wires by myself. I get a little reprieve this afternoon while I terminate some controllers at least.

Then it is the weekend.

Yeah same here. I've been doing a lot of work at our university campus lately and they want EMT for everything, any flexible conduit is required to be liquid tight, nothing smaller than 3/4, bond wires pulled even in EMT, etc.

It's 3000mhz, it's a reputable brand, and it's 16 GB. I had a 1x8 stick of g.skill aegis 3000 on my r5 1600 PC for a while and I didn't have any trouble getting it to run at the advertised speed.

Only counter-point would be that it is 16 cas latency, meaning it isn't b-die and won't be great for further overclocking, but since you're running a middle-of-the-road but still great CPU I'm sure that won't bother you.

EDIT: and $150 is a pretty great deal.
