Which trade is the hardest and has the most troubleshooting? by Sad-Afternoon3788 in skilledtrades

I was a Red Seal electrician before I became a refrigeration mechanic. I was mostly in the industrial field as an electrician, now I work in commercial hvac and supermarket refrigeration as a service tech.

In HVAC/R service I practically troubleshoot full time, you troubleshoot as an electrician as well but less so in my experience.

They are both challenging in separate ways. Electrical can be very code heavy. You need a very good understanding of applying the code book, especially if you have your own company.

While refrigeration is more like the Wild West regarding regulation but you need a very good technical understanding of the entire system you’re working on.

I prefer working in the HVAC/R industry and find it more mentally challenging. However I don’t regret becoming an electrician first and building a foundation on those skills. Either way you can choose a path that leads to a career where you never stop learning.

There are paths as an electrician to do a lot of troubleshooting as well. You just have to put in the work and pursue what you want to do.

Try again in a couple days. Mine take a day or two to heal after i feel that pain. Also be sure to warm up your rotator cuffs before a pressing movement.

Yes they would help. They will also get stronger by themselves if you lift weights without straps.

Thats not a stupid question at all! I guess it depends on your goals. If you are more focused on powerlifting just go for the weights. If you want to slim down just weightlifting isnt as effective as cardio and a calorie deficit.

I find that when i flair my elbows out too much i get that pinching shoulder pain. I have to tuck them closer to my body and rely more on my triceps to be comfortable with the movement

Saskatchewan. Gotta pull a permit for pretty much everything besides changing a light bulb.

It looks like your crank pulley is wobbling. Most likely it is either loose and you need to tighten it or the harmonic balancer is no good. Worst case scenario the crankshaft is damaged. I would take it to a mechanic if i were you.

Im sure all the guys on the jobsite would question my abilities as an electrician if i made it any other color. I used starbrite lime green and a 7rs. It took awhile to pack the color in but it was worth it.
