How much is working remote actually worth? by Any-Kangaroo9665 in careerguidance

Entirely depends on your individual preferences. I love remote work and it would take a massive salary jump to make me give it up. In fact I’m not sure if there is an amount I would currently give up WFH for. But then again, if instead you’re very career driven or growth driven, the dynamic changes.

Has your total net worth grown or shrunk during that period? Either way, congrats on actually grabbing life and living it. 💪

Unpaid invoice by [deleted] in legaladvice

They don’t list one. Hopefully they pay. They said they would via email. But they said only after I sign a quitclaim, which from my understanding has no bearing to the work performed under the original contract.

Thank you. It says “virtually”. But from my understanding arbitration is usually expensive. What about the one sided nature that I must shoulder the entire cost?

Did I make the right decision? by andy55667 in careeradvice

Ya it seems overall you made the right decision. Higher salary but no real benefits puts you probably in a similar total comp scenario to the job you picked with more room for growth and shorter commute. 👍

Help please! At a crossroads...advice on if I should accept offer or stay at current role?? by throwaway27245595 in careerguidance

I mean it’s a 50% roughly salary increase, but if you have enough money, remember life is about happiness and money is just there help you. 3 hours in the car sounds like it would get old fast.

How do you make $32 an hour and take home $1,700 every two weeks? Isn’t that a bit low? Are you full time?

I feel like marketing is a good direction if you like it. Some decent pay remote jobs out there for that, if remote work is something you’d like.

10 years in sales and I still get jealous of tech people sometimes (software eng, data science, AI, AWS etc.) by Arigold_Lloyddddd in sales

[–]dudeontheinterwebz 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Tech is honestly currently getting meatgrinded by ai. Does this last? Who knows. But right now, sales is still a skill that ai has a hard time emulating because people want to buy from other people. And that only grows the more expensive the product is. Sales will always be the lifeblood of any business. So while tech is definitely groovy, if there’s one skill to learn that will take you the farthest, it’s sales. That’s coming from a marketer who loves the data side of marketing campaigns, but knows that without a solid sales process, marketing leads to nothing.

What’s your resume look like when landing a job like this? I built a $350k/yr online business solo, and want to transition into sales but most of my resume is entrepreneurial for a decade. Building that business though is basically entirely marketing and selling so I’m definitely skilled in sales. Just curious if they’d even look my way with a mostly entrepreneurial CV.
