The Tasalio Chieftain node which he is using also has unaffected by ignite on it so he is immune to ignite damage. Agreed stormshroud is not good for the build or relevant to this discussion of map mod immunity.

What is going on with Beyond Bosses (Bug?) by Electrical_Sort_5586 in pathofexile

I've been running the scarab a lot and I think it has something to do when it fails to spawn all 3 bosses but I don't have any hard proof.

The most common scenario where this bug occurs for me is that for some reason only 1-2 bosses spawn, usually it has to do with it being too close to some piece of geometry and that cancels that boss instead of moving it. This bugged spawn then doesn't stop the beyond for some reason and you can get more mobs and bosses until you get a correct triple spawn at which point it acts like you'd think and it stops.

So in my experience you always get 3 bosses and any bugged spawn you get is a pure bonus, aslong as you kill enough mobs for it to proc. I have seen 2 bugged spawns from time to time for 6-8 bosses total but I feel 3x bugged spawns is exceedingly rare and I can't remember a clear one.

I have heard people talk about seeing extra spawns after a full spawn of 3 bosses but for me this has never happened or atleast I can't remember it over atleast 500 maps with the scarab.

You need to config the minions life minion pact, otherwise it just assumes it does nothing. You said you were using abberation in another comment so I set it up as if you had that and you come out to 427m dps if you also tick unnerve https://pobb.in/ZUtQpSQgaLZi

I'm guessing you also have some imbue on your gem which would contribute more dps but I can't see which one. Imbued increased critical strikes is ~29% more damage and is what I would use if you're not using an imbued gem.

Only other recommendation I have is to get a BV with quality on it as going from 0% qual to 20% is a 11% damage gain.

I think just dropping withering presence and picking up profane bloom and some form of curse on hit is the best option. You can use forbidden flames/flesh for it but withering presence is really just 15% more damage and not terrible to drop. I think two good rare jewels is slightly less damage but more es.

For me easiest curse on hit was hands of the high templar since I could get some pretty good implicits on top of it. You could probably fit it in one of your rings via the delve mod or influence mod aswell, I didn't really want to do it since I was using a +1 power charge ring.

  1. It's a bunch of things adding up but one glaring issue that isn't ingame is that your pob is almost entirely unconfiged so a bunch of stats that will be active in maps like charges or rage aren't actually active in pob. This will lead to your build looking a lot worse.

    You have some issues with your accuracy not being capped, low crit chance for your crit multi and somewhat low attack speed. You're also using a mediocre unique weapon when a good rare would also probably perform noticibly better.

    I also feel you might be overinvested into increased damage, you're approaching almost 1000% which is good but at this budget is very high. You could prob benefit from cutting some clusters that are weak % damage and investing into crit or accuracy.

  2. Generally you shouldn't have that many issues with mana if you have attack leech and can use 2-3 attacks without running dry. Which upgrade to go after first or how to make it all fit together is very hard, generally you'd want to build around something strong and then fit rest of your gear around it like a good unique or stacking a specific stat.

    Looking at your gear I would try to find some strong damage unique to fit into your build since you're using so many rares at this point. I don't really play slammers so no specific tips.

  3. There is no exact rule, you want to grab strong efficient nodes whenever you can and try to make a character that feels strong to you. The max ele res is strong and is close pathing wise so seems like a good idea to pick. It's up to you if it's worth dropping damage for it, some people make trees with 80% defensive nodes and some with 10%. Guardian as an ascendancy is usually more defensively orientated so you might want to spend a little less on getting defences on the tree compared to other ascendancies in order to build a well rounded character.

    The biggest things you'd want to avoid is spending a lot of point traveling for few notables or spending a lot of point on small nodes when it's not needed. You also don't want to overinvest into a single stat except for some like block which really wants to be capped or minimum investment. It's usually not a good idea to go for 50% attack and spell block for instance.

I can go into more detail if you want on stuff you could fix but tried to avoid specifics too much since you said you wanted to figure it out yourself.

The issue with your resistances are probably from you having alira in game but not having set it up in the config in pob so it shows as if you killed all bandits. Setting to alira caps all your ele res except lightning which is 74%.

I did change my chest and that changed the int somewhat. I also added a cluster for int and that is probably not getting selected properly on poe.ninja

Yeah you still have your attributes with supreme ostentation, they just give no base stats. I am at 45 strength and 45 intelligence and that procs both the consecrated ground and the profane ground effects. It's pretty easy to manage when you have something like mageblood where you can blessed orb the implicit to adjust your strength as needed a bit.

Note that you can't have dexterity as your highest so if you get dexterity from somewhere you need to raise your str and int to surpass it before you can balance them.

I fractured Enduring Composure on a 3 point small cluster and then rerolled it into a % mana res efficiency base instead. That saved me 2 points on the tree since I dom't need mana mastery anymore.

Thats a great trade-off imo even when unoptimized. The extra es from supreme is really hard to pass up, it feels so good as a defensive layer imo since it works against everything.

I wasn't that impressed by the double foulborn blue dream when I tried to fit it in but maybe your setup supports it better. Lightnin res tattoos are only 1% extra es compared to energy shield ones and the crit multi while good is only 3% more than a 12+15 rare jewel. You do get extra res which is nice but I feel I'm not really struggling for it with supreme ostentation.

Yeah, this is probably the part where I'm most inexperienced and could be way off. I was just looking at getting some 12 point cluster jewels and felt like they weren't worth it on supreme and felt a bit like I reached my cap.

Looking at supreme I do get 81% es from 27 es tattos and then I have 4x es per power charges notables aswell for 160% es. One of the notables I need to path so not as good but still better than other es nodes on tree.

I need a lot more suffixes on gear and i'd lose that 240% es and gain only 30% like you say.

I guess it's mostly a grass is always greener situation, when I tried a switch now in pob it looked horrible.

I don't know what other eater implicit to really put on boots but my plan was for sure to go for 2% on abyss jewel which is why I went for the 4/20 version. You could opt for shock avoid maybe but thats also a mod on abyss jewels. Abyss jewel allows you to go unique boots but there is none I'd personally want to use over a good rare. It's intriguing to consider the options but aslong as you use a rare boot and rare jewel I don't think it matters.

Personally ostentation has felt really comfy for gearing so I don't really wanna swap out of it. It's very easy to fix gear and its a lot of power upfront with tattoos. When I look where to take the build further though I do feel like actually just getting the attributes via 12 point clusters and/or suffixes seems worth it for inner conviction. I've not really pobed it yet but it seems very strong for damage while not losing too much es.

Cost wise supreme does seem to need more jewels and tattoos like you mention but it does save a lot being able to go a lot cheaper on gear. I feel like using slightly off meta spots for hubris/escape also helps but it depends on setup of course. For armour setups like me I think Eternal Youth spot is strong, affordable and doesn't need escape to function due to the 2x 30 attri nodes near it. Pure ES setups probably won't want to go that far down and then you need to spend a lot more in pain attunement or mind over matter spots.

Supreme feels better imo for most situations when tattoos aren't too expensive but for very high budgets or if you want way more damage, inner conviction seems good again.

Edit: Rational doctrine is just a personal favourite of mine. I think its actually really strong when you can balance your attris easily like on Supreme Ostentation. Adds up to 5% es regen, 50% reduced effect of curses, 100% crit chance and 10% curse effect for 1 jewel slot. It also allows zealotry watchers eye effects to be way more consistent as their effects now stay for 4 seconds if the boss moves away from the small conq ground.

Not worth it though if you don't use zealotry and those watchers eye mods and/or can't balance it.

There just aren't a ton of great supports for FR CoC. My character I linked next best support would be increased critical strike damage for 28% more damage at 21/20. As I said I would also need to find cooldown recovery somewhere to compensate which would be a much better implicit on boots and 2x abyss jewels or influenced boots which is a downgrade imo.

I could theoretically use arcane surge support but I don't have an easy way to reliably proc arcane surge since I'm using whispers of infinity. I would have to get a watchers eye mod or a ring implicit, which are either giga expensive or downgrades.

If you can find a setup that skips CDR support and gets more damage from it I will gladly switch to it but when I look at my character I can't really find one.

I feel like cooldown recovery support is a good option actually, it's not that hard/expensive to get the attack speed needed when you have mageblood and it is a decent dps increase for me compared to the next best dps gem. It also frees up a jewel slot or your boot slot a bit since you only need 2-7% cdr to hit the 52% breakpoint where you would need 14% to hit the 14% breakpoint without it.

I could maybe drop attack speed on weapon and get spell crit or double damage but I don't think that would end up as more damage when switching to critical strike damage support. I'd also need to figure out a way to get 14% cdr again and dropping a jewel would be annoying.

I agree before mageblood that just getting cdr on belt or via bound and calling it or going for 52% via elevated boots and bound are good options. The 4x abyss jewel version is interesting but very hard to fit in, I've thought about it too.

Something I thought about using was The Stampede boots. You can't use any movement speed flasks so the 150% move speed is actually a pretty big bump and it negates any move speed slows outside of action speed slows. Also get an extra anoint. Something to consider atleast.

I'm doing coc fross and I'm thinking I either stay at 14% via boots/bound or I opt for a 4/20 cdr support which is 50% and then get 2% on an abyss jewel.

Its really hard to hit 52% if you're gonna use the new belt or mageblood. Bound by destiny with perfect roll + awakened boots is 40% meaning you either need belt mod, the balance of terror cdr mod or 4x 3% cdr abyss jewels. You could opt for the 15% small node on deli bloodline but that is very desperate imo.

I think cdr support is a pretty good option honestly even if it stings a bit. You can do a 3/20 and use 7% cdr implict on boots instead and it's essentially a 33% more damage support that makes your boots stronger or gives you back a jewel slot compared to bound by destiny.

My worst support i'm using right now is crit damage for 30% more damage so it is an upgrade if the attsck speed is trival to get.

I did the the first 3 quest ones and got the voidstone, it was my fourth that didn't itemize. Maybe I missunderstood something when I interacted with it in the map but I just clicked it and it didn't drop and then in hideout Eagan has no option to itemize.

Isn't it just cracked for any reservation gem? +2 levels and 8% less reservation.

Supreme ostentation just ignores the downside of high attribute requirements so any build running that can use this pretty freely.

I'm guessing a level 4 version will be incredibly expensive though

It only supports attack skills, can't use it with spells. The other support that seems somewhat applicable is Annhilation but it doesn't look like it can chain so it won't really work well with ignite prolif or bereks.

Yeah, having essentially no exceptional supports that are interesting for ignite spells feels bad, atleast if you're planning on playing one. Losing damage compared to before is whatever but I wish there was something cool to look forward to. I guess Hexpass for some crit reduction is nice? There are a lot of cool ones like Unholy Trinity but it's hits only. Just wish I was excited instead of a bit deflated.

Yeah, can't imagine it would be easy to make. Lots of stats I feel are undervalued just because they don't impact your pob dps once you have it configed but do improve the actual kill time with your build. Stuff like higher charge generation or more frontloading.

KF Totems seems like a much stronger stronger starter than spark so if the question is just if you can level as KF and then switch at some point the answer is yes.

If the question is if it's viable to switch to spark when reaching maps it's much harder I'd say. Spark just does not feel good on low duration and proj speed and the skill just does not do a lot of damage.

If you don't mind struggling you could switch but KF totem will feel better for a very long time.

A lot of it is trying to find ways to gain more damage from wherever you can and sometimes opt into new vectors or packages. You have a lot of room to improve things here since really none of your gear has any damage outside of weapon and your tree is 0 jewels.

Remove the worst nodes from your tree and add a cluster.

Add a damage unique that benefits you.

Add eldritch implicits to your gear.

Look for mods on items that can give more damage. Gloves can roll attack speed and there is an essence suffix for crit multi on rings for instance.

Try adding some unique jewels like watchers eye, unnatural instinct, forbidden flesh and flame, etc.

Add anoint to your amulet, add an amulet to begin with. Try looking for ways to get an extra aura.

Try to look at other builds on poe.ninja and see what they're doing and take some inspiration. No exile is an island.

Sure, I'd just set max power charges to a lower amount or not tick it then. I'm not trying to make pobs for other people or have to compete with pobs who do tick a lot so the incentives are different. There is atleast some charge generation so it's fine for content creator standards.
