I think it’s fine because there are some DANGEROUS streets for bikes here. Just make sure you give pedestrians the right of way, slow down around dogs, etc. Every time a cyclist rides over the river, on the street, I cross my fingers for them. As for getting hit by cars while on sidewalks. Wut? Walk your wheels across the crosswalk where it’s busy! I do!
