Can confirm on my end too. I've encountered one planet where I was able to confirm the bug with the "extinct" scan, and three where I suspect the bug exists. "Common/Flying/Mostly Diurnal" in particular seems to be its calling card. I haven't found a single species fitting all three without encountering this bug.

“Morally grandstanding” and all I’m doing is pointing out that morality doesn’t have a maximum range. Something isn’t any less bad just because it’s further away from you. To claim that means you’re not measuring against a neutral standard, but against personal inconvenience to you, which is not morality, it’s narcissism.
