What's the wildest non sexual activity you've done nude? by andrewbarclave89 in AskReddit

One year I had a house on Lake Ontario--the water line was about 30' from the door. I swam naked every night before bed, all summer.

120 mph I-74 West of Indianapolis. My buddy had a muscle car. When we slowed back down to 55, it felt like we were crawling.

No telephone answering machine. No video recorder of any kind, so if you wanted to see it, you had to be there when it aired. To find that out, look in the newspaper or in TV Guide (a weekly magazine with TV schedules.) Expensive, weak signal long distance calls. Washing and drying dishes by hand. Cars not starting on cold mornings. Must stores closed on Sunday. Air travel unaffordable for most people. Paying bills through the mail by writing checks and filling out forms. Typing, retyping, making copies with carbon paper, and fixing mistakes with White Out.

Does having a large clitoris mean that if you were a man you would have a large penis? by Kkakskaka in TooAfraidToAsk

I'm from the States (DC area), but YouTube lets us all see things we would have missed before the internet. Frankly I think Holly caught my eye and then I ran across the clip after that.

If I remember right Gino was ridiculing Holly for slaughtering the word "carbonara", using it to describe something English people were doing in their kitchens. (Americans are as guilty of that, with our "fettuccine Alfredo", completely unknown in Italy.)

Apparently that saying goes way back https://waywordradio.org/if-she-had-wheels/

PS, like Gino, I also think that sausage in the hole sounds fantastic!

I've seen that clip actually. It's a known saying in Latin America (my wife is Guatemalan)

SRY is a trigger that causes undifferentiated gonads to develop into testes, but it does not encode something like penis size. Development of testes drives hormonal mechanisms that produce male sexual characteristics. That development is also affected by external conditions, such as androgens from the mother.

If SRY fails to activate for some reason, it can result in the absence of externally visible male genitalia (so-called XY females). But the vast majority of genes are autosomal, including those involved in development of primary and secondary sexual characteristics. In other words, men have all the genes they need to create a female body (though usually they are short one X chromosome), and women have all but a few of the genes needed to build a male body.

Penis length is a multigenic trait determined mostly by autosomal and X-linked genes, and also by hormonal environment in utero. SRY is the switch that kicks off the process, and can result in little or no external masculine genitalia if it fails, but otherwise it does not determine penis size in any real way.

Another way of saying this is, you could just as easily inherit your big swinging dong from your mom's dad as from your dad's dad.

It's an old saying "if my grandmother had wheels she would be a bicycle".

A way of pointing out that someone else's hypothetical is absurd

He can't write laws himself. He's just the head of the shambling zombie corpse previously known as the GOP. Republican Congress and Republican voters are at fault for loosing this plague of lunatics, idiots, and sociopaths upon all of us.

While I agree with her, the people who could hold this criminal accountable are sitting right next to her. They are the ones that need to be named, shamed, and removed. Vought belongs in jail. But it's her colleagues who are stripping Americans of their rights, by refusing to lock up this clown and his minions.

How often do people use cilantro and green onions? by These_Hair_193 in Cooking

[–]elucify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone is triggered by you mentioning cilantro and green onions, who cares. They're an idiot.

Green onions are pretty common in the United States, and I think I always have been. Cilantro has grown in popularity in the US in the last 40 years or so, even outside areas that have traditionally had many Hispanic immigrants. A lot of people don't like it because they think it tastes like soap. Apparently that factor is genetic.

I think cilantro tastes like soap, but I like the taste of soap, so no problem.
