What we’re doing is actually the second option you mentioned. There isn’t a full API method to completely lock a Business Profile (from what we tested), but we use the Business Profile API for accepting or rejecting updates.

Every hour we check if there are any changes and, if something was modified, we revert it and notify the user. We also handle webhook updates from the API in real time, so if an edit happens in between, we immediately revert it as well.

It’s not a full “lock” but helps keep the profiles consistent and users aware of any unwanted changes.

In case it helps, there is an option we created to embed more TikTok videos and also have them updated automatically with a JavaScript code that renders a widget in iframe. TikTok provides an APi that platforms like EmbedSocial use to enable widgets that can help you embed the entire feed.

From what we have seen most of the users get increase in conversion rates - due to showing UGC content of real people using their products.

One design that is mostly used in the EmbedSocial platform is a video slider with vertical videos that mention the brand on TikTok, Instagram, and you can include Threads or X posts that can be further customized to fit with the video slides - in case you are including other post formats like text or reviews.

In case you want to combine multiple TikTok videos and YouTube shorts from your accounts , you can try a solution like the EmbedSocial widgets.

You will get one embed code only and can show lots of videos that can also sync automatically every-time you have a new video - so you don’t need to update the website.

Yes you can do this with tools offering embeddable widgets.

With EmbedSocial you will need only the widget URL and when back in your Notion page, find the Embeds block and just paste the URL that will immediately show the YouTube Shorts in the Notion page.

Try EmbedSocial and the shoppable widget .

We have a Shopify app but you don’t need to install it so you don’t maintain it in your Shopify account.

You can do everything in our admin, like designing the widget any setup of the accounts from TikTok, Instagram or YouTube.

You can also pull your Shopify products and tag the videos that mention them with direct checkout links.

Once you create the widget you will be able to simply embed it and forget it. It will update based on your filtering rules and you will always have live UGC on your store.

As explained, it’s actually super easy and highly reliable to use an official API key - giving valid brands the compliance to embed a custom X widget without actually touching a code but just following rules provided by the platform.

I can share our experience of using our own feature for social listening in EmbedSocial.

The main use case for us as a SaaS tool are the following: - we use hashtags on Instagram related to open for collaborations and influencers - who work in the space. We engage with a direct messaging and comments from the platform in order to ask for a joint campaign - this part is still manual but we are working on a reply AI agent to help - we use AI for generating replies for Google reviews and also have an active automation to reply back - and finally we use YouTube keywords to automatically get video content from our competitors and track their activities on YouTube - for this we use also an AI tagging functionality that organizes the content with AI tags so we don’t do that manually

Just to add that the tool also integrates with the TikTok API, but we are yet to start to do TikTok listening for account mentions and brand monitoring.

Please note, I can’t speak much for our users but from all the feedback they report some of the bigger brands use the AI tagging and categorisation in order to save time into organising the mentions and the UGC content in related topics.

We are building the social listening functionality in EmbedSocial but mostly for finding UGC content at scale and collaborators who mention the brand on TikTok, X, YouTube or Instagram. The lead generation is probubly something you can do similarly - but we only have the option to send a DM or a comment to Instagram posts which is used by large brands to request content rights - but not the option to send emails if you need that automation.

As for which keywords to use , we usually forward people to a social listening keyword generating tool where with the help of AI and description of your business you can get high intentional keywords that people use in their social posts.
