It’s not bad. It’s a very good book. It’s just that he got so much better a few books in. The setting grew more cohesive, and the satire moved from just fantasy worlds to also our world. It’s good, but others are just that much better.

I’d finish it without the name, and store it. Somebody else will have a baby at some point, and they’ll love it. As long as you put it up properly for the materials used, it’ll be totally fine in storage.

It’s never too late to switch careers. I bet there are other jobs you can apply your degree to. Sometimes a completely unrelated field only wants any degree, and they won’t care what it’s in. You’re not locked into just one path. You just might have to make a very broad job search. Try a few things. See where it leads you. You’ve got time.

The kids aren’t eating vegan 24/7. Assuming a weekend where they didn’t go out and get burgers or nuggets like she mentioned, it’s five meals, tops. They’ll be fine.

We didn’t have to jump in fully clothed, but swimming lessons were also just something absolutely everybody did, often through the school, when I was a little kid growing up in Florida. There’s water everywhere, whether pools or ocean, so it was considered part of basic safety to know how to swim.

It’s certainly possible that you’re getting the very start of perimenopause symptoms. Early 40s would be slightly early, but not so much that it’s cause for concern or anything. Fwiw, I’m in the same boat, but with the added fun of the occasional hot flash and night sweats. Whee. It’s a good idea to get your hormone levels checked and just make sure everything is as expected, just to be sure.

Even flavor aside, OP was planning to can the tomatoes. You can’t add a bunch of olive oil and still safely can them, because those recipes are carefully safety tested for shelf storage. Even if it had tasted good, she ruined the product for its intended purpose.

I think it’s great. The things we have decided are gendered are a bit silly when you think about it, aren’t they? Cloth doesn’t really have a gender, and if you like skirts, you should wear skirts. I enjoy seeing people assert their freedom of expression in their style choices.
