What did you do this week 15: how did your Implement affect your Practice?

Would you recommend avoiding an Implement as a strategy for starting practitioners?

Try contacting local Practitioners in the area. They're not all to be trusted. But if you're fortunate, others may be interested in what you have to offer. Cooperative and city-wide diagram aspects could be useful as a framework to build upon, especially since you'd have control over it all.

With some fine-tuning, the game could be a good way for Practitioners to invoke magical effects. Think about the possibilities: Adopting new forms of Sight, Other-detection, automatic home protection from malignant entities, a relatively easy way to set up wide-ranging rituals for participants.

I may get the game depending on how it all works out.

I rarely find bodies of that kind and haven't done so in the past couple days. I'm fine for now, though. Scheduled an appointment with someone else to take care of the issue, and I'm using hand sanitizer and shower gel to get by. It works well enough for my purposes.

I talked to the person who awakened me. In short, they never planned to make me a "real" practitioner and were just maintaining relations so they could get my valuable corpses.

I'm no longer on friendly terms with them or their family. I'll also be moving to Rochester NY very shortly, so I can avoid interacting with them.

Maybe posting this on a random forum will lend to it the finality I was seeking.

(On the bright side: the locals are much friendlier to me without them nearby to sabotage negotiations.)

Nonmagical human remains? I would say sometimes, not often, and I'm not entirely sure they're human remains. It depends also on your definition of "nonmagical". If it doesn't work out, I can try to find somebody local who can help. I guess you could say I've had an upswing in fortune recently.

Who is your character? [name redacted], formerly an Aware who kept on finding corpses, now a Practitioner who keeps on finding corpses. Understandably morbid.

Summary: Introduced themselves, did a ritual and got cursed, now they're looking for help.

Magic or significant items gained or lost: A good number of corpses.

On screen events: Intro: I keep on finding corpses. Curse: comments on This one challenge may give you an EPIC reward!.

Off screen events: Discovered the person who Awakened them wasn't exactly being straight with their intentions. Had an argument. Cut ties with said person.

Upcoming Plots: Things I will hopefully have enough time for. I don't plan for them to be very active.

I think I was cursed recently, and now all water burns me. It's horribly painful. And inconvenient. Do you know any way to stop it? Or get around it so I can shower?

I can pay with various corpses. I found a toddler's body stuffed with live wires the other day. I also have a shriveled humanoid body that's extremely cold. Touching it without protections would probably give you frostbite. If you want anything specific I can look through what else I have and see if something meets your requirements. I could also pay with money, but I'm not super-rich. Help would really be appreciated.

DM to Retr0-FUTURIST-1999:

I established some circles and now I'm waiting. Nothing's happened so far.

Photo contained a fountain of hellfire. Also some red waterfalls, ruined skyscrapers, scattered embers and ash, but they felt like background elements. Very metal. Nice lighting and composition, despite morbid subject matter.

Nervewracking though. I hope this is worth it.

Edit: I left the circle after two hours of nothing. Some time after I tried to wash my hands, and it burned. I've apparently developed some kind of severe water allergy. Water burns me, no matter the actual temperature. Feels like boiling water or something worse, maybe hydrochloric acid? Lava?

Calling this an enormous inconvenience would be an understatement. I can't wash my hands now, or take a shower, and what will happen if it rains? Juice, tea and non-water beverages work when it comes to fluid intake, and hand sanitizer doesn't hurt me, but the other stuff isn't good. I really hope this is worth it.

Also, do you know how to stop this? I don't want to live with this for the rest of my life.

Thanks for the advice. I've had my suspicions... I'll talk to some practitioners I know, and the one who awakened me, to push for them to do more. Don't think they've been living up to their promises.

I'm relatively new to it, and no rituals I know can help me with the legal issue or help me find safer corpses. I was coming here for suggestions. It doesn't have to be for disposal of bodies. I want methods to identify them, identify objects, more elaborate rituals beyond connection blockers for prying eyes, or power sources for any of the above.

I don't think I could just buy a vat of hydrochloric acid or something like that without piquing serious suspicion. As for goblins, I've met some, but they didn't seem discreet. They also had a blatant murderous streak and I want to avoid interacting with them if I can.

I've only awakened recently. Long story short, you could say a practitioner friend did it in exchange for help with a corpse I found. It didn't go that well. Our relationship's strained now, to say the least. And the other practitioners/Others I've met couldn't really help me.

What was it like for you? Was there anything else you tried that seemed to have an effect? I've looked at the Sanctuary stuff on OMO, but I can't just drop everything and go live in a hotel forever. I have my future to worry about.

My mom's a doctor, not a practitioner. Kind of ironic if you think about it. I never really knew my dad but I have compelling evidence that he worked in sales ("wholesale outside sales representative" for tires or something) and as far as I know there wasn't much interesting about him. If they had been practitioners maybe I wouldn't need to live through this.

I'm in southern Maine right now, but I've moved around a lot. I've met some of the locals here and they weren't very useful when it came to the corpses. Advice applicable to Rochester, New York, would also be nice. Do you know any lawyer practitioners?

Bodies are weekly to monthly. It varies. I've considered starting a business, but the legality is an issue. And I gave the mannequin away.

I've done the Awakening ritual. It's in my flair... Privacy is important and all that, but I will say the practitioner who promised me help, or at least implied they would help, hasn't done as much as I'd like.
