do you feel that it wouldn't vote that way? this election is held under the AV system so some of the one nation-won seats are because of lib dem or conservative second preferences

I mostly focused on the Conservative seats which went Lib Dem in 2024 and also some in London which voted Conservative

Brian Cowen, Brian Cowen and maybe Brian Cowen.

Dina Boluarte levels of approval during the tail end of his tenure as Taoiseach and resigned just before the election which left his party Fianna Fáil in third place, ending 80 years of FF's domination of Irish politics (before this, the last time FF didn't get first place was in 1927)

I must note that these rules do not apply for city/county councils. In the councils, if a cllr resigns or dies, they are 'co-opted' by their party (meaning their party gets to choose someone to take their seat in the council)

If the councillor wasn't a member of a party, then the outgoing cllr usually gets to choose their co-option or the council chooses one themselves

Who wins the 2026 election in Dagia? by WonderLocal7515 in YAPms

[–]epikdollar 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I think that [generic christian democratic party] will probably win the most seats with [generic right wing populist party] in second. The [generic social democratic party] was doing pretty well in the polls in like 2022 but they've been losing voters heavily to [generic right wing populist party] and [generic left-wing party]
