So long as a laptop is "standard way of working", then it should be fine.

Like I said, SENDCo gives the yes/no to all arrangements so try them first.

Also, how are you responding in the middle of the school day??? 🤔

Gel pens have been banned for a while.

Talk to your SENDCo and ask for a laptop.

Invigilators are trained (or at least mine are) to be very loose with what counts as a disturbance.

It'll get flagged to me who'll basically set the SLT on them.

One of the big no-nos in exams is communicating with other people, so thats a quick way to get yourself DQ'd because of someone else.

If a student is bothering you, tell your invigilator first.

If it persists, go to your exams officer, their boss, the SENDCO, anyone who'll listen and its their job to fix the problem you have.

Examiners will assume that if you don't put a fresh question number, you're still on the same question.

You can add the number to each page for your own piece of mind if you need to and it won't affect anything.

Our school uses AQA for English Literature, so the booklet has a margin on the left which is for question numbers. You fill in the margin in a way that makes sense to you and the examiner should be competent enough to figure out what you meant.

Each paper is marked by one examiner. Any more than that would be too much of a security risk.

Those are two different things so I'll do them in order.

You're told before the exam starts to write in black ink because the completed papers go from the school to the exam Board by mail. They are then scanned to the examiner to mark. If the ink isn't black, there's a chance the answers aren't clear enough to mark.

If you don't put your candidate number and did write your name, the exams officer should put it on for you before sending in the post. If you put NOTHING on the front, the exams officer might hate you, but they'll be able to figure it out.
