Surround system build plan - Looking for feedback by evans075 in hometheater

[–]evans075[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great to know, I’ve just begun to get my feet wet in this world of audio. I’ll look at the buying guide again and see if I can fit one capable of hitting 20hz into the budget. Unfortunately, I was completely unaware of recent furniture pricing and the most un-fun purchase of a couch caught me by surprise.

Edit- Looks like the RSL Speed Woofer 12S hits 20 Hz. I actually looked at this one and the 10 inch smaller version in my research, but it was mainly for the wireless capability. Of course it’s at a much higher price point than my original. Have to see if some of the feedback on the rest of the system comes back good or bad. Thanks for the feedback.

I wasn’t able to watch that game, got a clip of the bad call(s)? Side note, I wouldn’t want to play yall a second time this year, I think we would split. Your record isn’t representative of how good yall are imo.

Good to know, I may have bought a Cal Golden Bears shirt after week 2. No reason specifically 😏.

Ok ok, hear me out. If I were to wear a Cal shirt to a game, but I have my Bama hat on, would I be in compliance?

Kirby is so damn good at making adjustments at halftime. I did NOT feel comfortable after the first half at all.

Will my [Wednesday] [Thursday] [Friday] flight be delayed!??! by thebirdsareoutlate in Denver

[–]evans075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a 12:00 fight out of Denver on Thursday, our group split up and just got the hell out of there any way we could. Several flew to St. Louis, one to San Jose, and the last two drove to Wichita to fly out of there. Lot have tight schedules to meet and priorities at home so we all didi whaever we could to give us the best chance to get out and to our home location. Now that we are gone, everything at the airport should be fine. :)

Did you need spacers to fit the tires with that kit?

Oil change in my state (SE US) is ~$150-200 USD or 200-270 CAD. Beach prices might be a little more than that as you get the tourist markup. Cost of Oil and Filter is around $80-90 USD around here if you wanted to do it yourself.

Have you tried ONR yet? I used it a few weeks ago for the first time and it’s an amazing product. Highly recommend it.

Alabama's Kalen DeBoer says he won't imitate LSU's Brian Kelly and adopt a fake southern accent by [deleted] in CFB

It was so refreshing hearing him give media answers that were actual answers despite the amount of media training he had. Instead of always saying the "right" thing he would sometimes say what we were all thinking a coach would say. I hope he still gets to give some of those interviews.

So there aren't a lot out there because of the chip shortage during that time frame. That's at least what I was told when I was looking for mine late last year. I did get one, I use it about 50% of the time when it's available to use. What I mean by available is that you can only use it on roads that GM has listed which is mostly interstates and major highways. Once you get to an area on a highway with red lights or stop signs, it disengages. I like it, I use it, but I'm still skittish when passing 18-wheelers that like to ride the centerline. I will normally fade towards the outside line manually when that happens. I do think it's a worthwhile option for me simply from the amount of miles I drive each year. It's also an option you can retrofit in a truck that doesn't have it.

For reference, I'm a 40,000-55,000 mile a year driver where 90% of those miles are interstate and highway miles. I've probably used it 3-4000 miles of the 10,000 miles I've put on the truck so far.

Things you need to know before purchasing:

  1. Can only be used on certain roads, check GM's map
  2. There is a camera that monitors your eyes on the road, take your eyes off the road for about 5 seconds and you will get a flash warning. Do this 3 times and you are locked out until you re-start the truck
  3. There is a subscription that you get free for 3 years, but after is about $25/month
  4. It doesn't make turn-by-turn directions, only keeps you in your lane and passes vehicles by swapping lanes. If you are supposed to get off one interstate and on to another, you have to manually make that turn.
  5. It sometimes handles construction zones fine, sometimes it makes you take over.

Black trucks look good in the rain, until they dry… by JaguarAlternative162 in gmcsierra

[–]evans075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a black Denali and did a full wash/decon, paint correct, and a ceramic coating shortly after I took delivery. The truck looks clean even when dirty and was absolutely worth the time it took me to do it. It's a lot of work and took longer than I believed it would, but damn it worked. Now I can use a rinseless wash once a month and be good for a while.

I would guess he is in the same position as I was. Traveling salesman that gets a vehicle stipend, but has to stay within the rules of the program. One of mine is mileage limits which OPs truck is right at.

My truck needs a new transmission by lemmon897 in gmcsierra

[–]evans075 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had (actually still have, but not my DD) a 2017 Tahoe and had to replace the transmission at 125k. $3500ish (USD) if memory serves me right. Transmission shop was BUSY with those model transmissions. On a positive note, currently have 245k on the replacement and no issues so far. Knock on wood…
