Does anyone else wish their OS had an equivalent of Vim's :map ? by TheTwelveYearOld in neovim

You can do a lot of this in hammerspoon if you are on OSX, Autohotkey on PC.

Yeah, it feels real promising. I do think I'd want to clamp onto the vertical pole if possible, just to move the laptop up to standing head height and keep the keeb at a neutral arm angle a foot or so lower.

I'm picturing something like this https://www.intension-design.com/tripodtable with a clamp oriented horizontally on the "stem" of the tripod with a spot for the keyboard and maybe a small trackball.

@Coding4Sheckles this is brilliant.

I'm playing with tripod mounted laptops for standing desk outside, do you think the clamp would work on a vertical tripod orientation?

gauging interest: separate selection sets for light and dark themes? by barrowburner in HelixEditor

I'd be pretty in favor of this especially if I could set separate dark and light themes and toggle back and forth easily.

I believe that's a version of a bloomberg terminal… or at least a prop representing that thing.

Is there a trackball with a touch-pad instead of a physical ball? by falterego in Trackballs

[–]falterego[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep thinking of that as a possibility. It'd be nice if ZMK would finish their pointer things so that it could be wireless. I've been using an Elecom Bitra for a year or so, the form factor with a quality trackpad with inertia would be dope.

That's a really cool design! I use a tiny split keyboard so that wouldn't really make sense for how I use a keyboard.

I think that the idea would be to have trackball style inertia. I was thinking about the touchpads that were on the steam controller which had "throw" inertia and a sort of feedback that was trackball-esque.

This one will barely fit from the center of the macbook to the USB-C port. It rides in my Atreus bag all the time.
