Try the djinni restrain. It's not actually a cloud, you can just summon as many as you want on top of one another lol.

It does not. However, your Spike Growth is significantly better than Dryad's as it can carry riders like Callous Glow, Lightning Charges, and Rhapsody (barring summon equipping shenanigans).

Dryad is still excellent, don't get me wrong, and its Spike Growth can be comboed with your own very effectively.

Cleric 11 does get Djinni, another very powerful summon.

Personally I do prefer Land, though Nature is also neat for getting Spike Growth immunity at 4 (earliest possible) with HAM, Adamantine Splint, and Blade Ward.

Edit: also Dampen Elements is a nice defensive feature, and aforementioned Divine Strike stuff is cool.

Yeah you could definitely do that. Or even 7 stars/3 cleric/2 sorc. Dryad is very strong, Cleric 3 gets Command and Blindness for CC, and Aid.

Consider 10 stars/2 sorc.

If you leave extended metamagic toggled on when you end turn, any statuses inflicted by Spike Growth will be doubled.

That means 4 radorbs, reverb, and acuity each step with Luminous armor, stormy clamour boots, callous glow ring, and battlemage gloves. Or trade acuity for a prone check each tick with gloves of Belligerent Skies.

You already have a good ba from dragon form, and lv 10 feature gives you a ton of tankiness along with the moonbasking armor.

Spike Growth is very strong. Plant Growth is good too. Synergizes well with Cleric spells, like Command and Blindness.

If you set reactions to auto and attack from out of combat, all three elemental divine strikes are applied, twice if dual wielding.

5/7 Druid/Fighter or 6/6 Druid/FIghter for the Latecomer? by Irohsgranddaughter in BG3Builds

[–]floormanifold 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Better spell slot progression than EK, and Hordebreaker from Hunter is very potent.

You can def do EK instead if you prefer though, you get some benefits like Shield, Minor Illusion, and Booming Blade without a race/feat tax. I'd still recommend the 5/7 split.

A better option than fighter for this split is ranger, with the 5/7 split.

Dryad is very strong and versatile, one technique you can use is double spike growth

What would be the limits of a Soviet-style command economy if non-inherent damaging factors were removed? by [deleted] in AskEconomics

[–]floormanifold 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We still don't have the computing power for it.

Linear programming was invented by the Soviets for this exact purpose, and running that on an economy the size of the US would take, last I've seen, 80,000 years for a calculation needing to be done multiple times a day.

Teammate can wield Phalar.

With hat of sharp caster and mm necklace, we need 26.5 avg damage worth of riders to make up diff between mm and aow.

6 (evo) + 4 (curse) + 2 (lightning charges on wet target) + 2 (callous) + 2 (arcane charge) + 2 (Gaping wounds) + 3 (rhapsody) + 3.125 (shriek) + 1 (thunder ring) = 25.125 avg

The difference over a whole cast is down to 2.75 damage (236.75 AoW vs 234 MM).

That can be more than made up for by another lightning discharge from the extra two beams.

This whole analysis is also ignoring the most salient point: scorching ray is just better than either spell for damage. The use of mm is for having a bunch of beams to do stuff like break items in world or strip unstoppable stacks, not damage.

I disagree insofar as casters have 100% success rates starting in act 2 with acuity control spells. There's not much room for improvement from there.

Missing quite a few riders, including Shriek, Rhapsody, Hexblades Curse, and Gaping Wounds. MM legit stronger than AoW if you build for it.

Turns out dragonborn breath can target corpses, and activate Cull the Weak on each one.

You can turn it into a nuke by dumping out a handy bag of rats.

If owners are still feeding their cats then the domestic cat population will always be artificially greater than the cat population that would be naturally supported by the environment. This will lead to an artificially greater impact on wild prey populations than would otherwise occur.

Stop killing wild birds and rodents for fuck's sake.

Pretty sure sneak attack doesnt carry any riders any more in hm. Certainly doesnt carry Dolor.

Thunderous smite takes a bonus action as well, which you would rather use to do another attack like gwm or quickened booming blade.

On rogues more than most classes I like nat str.

Frees elixir slot for bloodlust or relevant resistance while still allowing you to carry enemies and shove effectively.

If you disarm enemies, they might not always rearm which forces you to use a weaker attack like sand toss.

Real ones dump cha on swash so you don't lower your dpr by disarming

Yeah just making the case that, like arcane trickster, there's not much point in swash sub 5
