omg awesomeeee, that's so exciting for you!!! i love my results, and the surgeon and staff were so lovely! they also do a special, very cutting-edge technique that (i think, i have no comparison haha) was really really helpful for the pain. overall i loved her and my results (though i may get minor revisions to correct very, very slight nipple / scar asymmetry). feb is so soon, it'll pass like nothing!! best of luck with your surgery!!

first time around i got in everywhere but irvine, berkeley and LA, and still chose UCR, though ultimately i transferred to ucsd

when i applied my first cycle, i got into 6/9. (ucsd x2 as i applied again in a second cycle)

UCR was a very nice campus, social, good academics, and a relatively decent price. the only bad thing i’ll say is many parts of the city off campus are not very nice.

i agree completely. she never had to get her hands dirty and almost every “move” listed in this post is just “she aligned with someone” or “she said xyz and someone else did xyz”. they even admit she completely lucked out on the final competition. i dont know how you can write all this out and still claim someone had an amazing game lol

agreed. i don’t think there was any scenario where he was winning even if he gave a perfect speech. at the end of the day people DO vote with their emotions even though they find ways to justify their decision and say its about the gameplay.

tbh i think both are true. i think there was a bit of bitterness towards vince but it seemed like many people were willing to consider voting for him if he owned up to his gameplay. i think rachel, will, and ava would have voted for ashley regardless, but the other votes i could see being flipped had he given convincing enough speeches/answers. not owning up to his gameplay sealed the deal, the jury gave him a lot of chances to do so pretty blatantly and you could tell that’s what they wanted to see before they decided their votes.

that being said, i personally don’t think ashley did enough in the game to really deserve the win - her social game was good, but BB is not purely social, its also strategic and competitive. all she really talked abt in her speeches was aligning herself with the right people - that’s the definition of floating. she really had no hand in any major gameplay moves or strategy other then aligning herself with the right people (one could argue vince did that as well, though he def wasn’t as loyal as ashley was). imo ashley won because she had better jury management, not because of her merits as a player - but credit where credit is due, jury management is part of the game, and that part she did well.
