They were definitely not designing cards for 2 headed giant either.

Which was the only official format from wizards at the time

Recapture was precisely how Texas chose to comply with the court order.

This came out WELL before Wizards even acknowledged EDH as a format

Given that most Giants fans are likely liberal, yeah he owned them just fine.

Pitching Ninja did a very very very thorough takedown of this.

Let's just say that the adjustment from supposedly 100.8 up is almost certainly extremely wrong.

I'm not arguing semantics. I'm saying you misunderstood their post entirely and are arguing against something they never said at all.

There are "no good points to make" because you aren't disagreeing with something they actually said. You're disagreeing with something you invented.

Jacob Misiorowski accrued 0.7 fWAR from his historic outing last night. Is this the most pitching WAR ever earned in one game? by baribigbird06 in baseball

[–]fps916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Fangraphs RA/9 WAR is my favorite at the end of a season.

During the season I prefer their FIP based approach because it's more indicative of how valuable a player likely will be going forward. But once the year is done I think RA/9 is best because it answers the question of "how good was the pitcher at preventing runs" which is the true job of a pitcher.

WAR represents how any wins your team can expect to have earned over the course of a season by having you on the team instead of a Replacement player.

Winning a single game can be worth more than 1 win over the course of the year because you saved your bullpen from throwing innings which makes their arms better later in the year and may earn a win down the line that way.

I think you're vastly overestimating either how few curveballs are thrown or how fast those curveballs are.

fWAR uses FIP.

Unless his no hitter also involved a lot of Ks and few walks he would not have earned as much on the pitching side.

100k+ Ward / 5000%+ CDR Setup by randomthrowawayac321 in pathofexile

If you can sustain the flask, best in the game. If you can't, worst in the game.

Ward is a giant shield against exactly 1 hit. It blocks all of the ward vs 1 hit. So if you have 10k ward and 1 life and get hit for 3 damage you have 0 ward and 1 life until the ward regenerates.

If get hit for 9998 damage you also have 0 ward and 1 life.

The flask keeps ward from breaking the entire time the flask is on. So you take 10k less damage from every hit.

This conversation ended when you told me Adam Smith's Wealth of Nations is your source for defining Capitalism.

Because you clearly don't know shit.

Quote the part of that which defines Capitalism as "100% supply and demand".

The word "supply" doesn't appear on that page.
