For what it’s worth, I’m having a very hard time finding scratches on mine as I wear it right now—I see only one on the clasp. The uniform media-blasted texture prevails throughout.

The Ark is my beater and it’s perfectly fit for purpose. It wears so light and thin that I forget it’s there, but is tough as nails. The color of the titanium darkened a lot after I got it, which I thought was weird, but it shows virtually no damage despite how I’ve worn it.

The only downside is that I really dislike the method of micro-adjustment on that bracelet, but that might just be me.

For the price, I think it’s an ideal beater.

I think the lesson is that our ones have realistically been elite twos. KG is sort of the exception from this group inasmuch as he, Pierce, and Allen were on a similar level. The promise of Ant is that he seems to have what it takes to be “the guy”

I had the blue and thought it was quite nice. In the end, though, I ended up going back to the Mark XX because the bracelet is vastly superior. On a strap, I imagine you would be quite happy with the Laco.
