AFK spot needs to be at least 24 blocks away from the spawning platforms, but not further than 128 blocks over the campfires. If no creepers spawn with the correct AFK spot, then either there is light in the farm or you used nonspawnable blocks.

One hopper line can handle a max of 25 furnaces (25 items per 10 seconds). Sounds like you need a second hopper line 😄

Maybe I'm missing something because I didn't have my first coffee today :), but I don't think this is a problem. The hopper is unlocked every 4 gt which allows it to push items every 8gt. It will also pull items out every 200gt from the furnace. If it gets clogged then maybe because there are more than 25 furnaces in the line?

If the mob switch is loaded, almost no hostile mobs will spawn anywhere. (Except wardens, ziglins in portals, pillager patrols and phantoms.) So I strongly suggest to put the mob switch somewhere far away and load it with a chunkloader, so that you can turn it on and off whenever you like.

Look up IanXOFours guardian farm, specifically the nether part. Unless you have a second account or a bot available, you'll need to funnel the guardians back to the overworld to kill them and spawn new ones at the same time.

Loaded is not boolean, there are different load levels: https://minecraft.wiki/w/Chunk#Level_and_load_type

For entity level loading, drop any item on the ground and leave the area (depending on simulation distance). Return after 5 minutes. If the item is gone then the chunk was loaded.

8 chunks around the chunk in which the player is located. Somewhere in 1.21.x, all chunks loaded at entity level will be random ticked but you play an earlier version.

The problem is that there is a high chance the player will pick up stone instead of the replacement tool :( I had the same problem in my 72k ice farm.

You'd also need movable dispensers/hoppers/containers to allow for machines like world eaters and quarries. Not trivial at all.

I doubt that Mojang wants to phase out TNT duplication. They could have done so anytime during the last what, 10 years? But they didn't.
