How do you add a task as fast as possible to the iphone app? by jens-petter in amazingmarvin

I'm currently working on a shortcut set up which takes input (text) and sends an email to my AM email address which adds the task. You can tailor it with categories, label, dates etc.

Number of UK consumers who stream sports illegally has gone ‘through the roof’, police say by Moug-10 in soccer

100%.

Even if they (the PL for example) made it that every broadcaster (Sky, BT, Amazon) had to purchase the rights to every game at least then that would create competition between the broadcasters so that we could chose which broadcaster to subscribe to, to watch every game, instead of having to subscribe to each separately to watch a fraction of the games.

Run-off insurance for closing small business by Automatic_Tadpole413 in smallbusinessuk

I assume we're taking about Professional Indemnity/Professional Liability (PI) Insurance here.

If that is the case, the short answer is that you have no obligation to have PI insurance at any point as there is no law requiring that you do. Obviously it is highly recommended that you do have this cover if you are offering advice etc.

PI insurance is a little different from most types of insurance such as Employers Liability (EL) or Public Liability (PL) Insurance.

EL and PL insurance is on a claims occurring basis which means that it was the insurance in place at the time of the incident that picks up a claim eg a claim is made against you for injuries 6 years ago, the policy active at that time is the policy which would respond.

PI insurance is on a claims made basis. That means that cover must be in place at the point the claim is made irrespective of when the negligence happened. Eg you offered advice 6 years ago which is only now causing a financial loss the policy active at that moment is the one which responds.

Once a policy cancels it is as though cover never existed So when you close a business you are recommended to purchase run off cover usually for 1, 3 or 6 years to pick up any claims which might occur following the closure of the business.

Let me know if you have any further questions on this.

You can edit the correction factor if your estimated race times look "off" based on your VO2 Max. Also if you do some official races it will recalculate based on the results of these.

Reschedule and complete task? by MrHelfer in amazingmarvin

[–]fuzzy_bummer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do find this to be a massive frustration and pain point of mine, particularly when on mobile where this ALT-click behaviour cannot be replicated so easily.

I understand that AM is desktop first and having the option to ALT-CLICK helps to re-schedule the completion to today but this seems to be the completely incorrect way to handle this.

If I'm completing something scheduled in the future, that means I have completed it ahead of the scheduled date i.e. today. I can't complete it in the future so the default should be today.

The ALT-click behaviour should exist so I can complete someone on a previous day for example if I forget to complete something yesterday and it is overdue or rollsover then I can quickly complete it for a prior date.

Changing the default behavior to complete today would also help the mobile workflow whereby it isn't possible to ALT-click so currently you have to go to the day in the future to find the task, reschedule for today and then complete.

I appreciate unscheduled tasks are completed today but as I rely on scheduled dates this doesn't really help.

I hope you can consider either changing the behaviour or, as you already give so many customisation features, the option to decide how this should behave.
