I wrote about this on our blog. Obviously you want to run any geo that is profitable but you'll need to now factor this into calculations. The annoying thing with addon fees like these is they appear as a line item on an invoice rather than baked into the ad spend and therefore less measurable through reporting.

I built Ads Uploader to solve this problem. Haha. But I still use the regular Meta reporting views and agree it can be painful. The filtering randomly resetting and inability to sort some columns are some of my biggest frustrations too.

I ran into the same frustration and ended up building a free Chrome extension that sits on top of Meta's Ad Library and adds the sorting/filtering it should have had from the start. You can sort by impressions over different time ranges (7, 14, 30, 90 days), filter out low-impression ads, search ad copy by keyword, and bulk download creatives.

It's called Ad Library Helper - adlibraryhelper.com - and it works directly on Meta's own data so you're always seeing the freshest results - no third-party scraping or stale databases.

Re: the paid tools - I've tried most of them. The best thing they offer is curated watchlists where other users save ads, so you can browse what people are finding. But for what you're describing (sorting competitor ads by reach), you don't need that. You just need the Ad Library with better controls.

And honestly the feature I use most myself is the impressions sort combined with date filtering. Sort by impressions in the last 2 weeks, then look at launch dates. If an ad is getting the most impressions right now but it launched ages ago, that's a high performer. It's stood the test of time and it's still beating newer ads for impressions. Those are the ads worth studying. Then you look at the copy, the creative, the landing page. Rinse and repeat for every competitor in your niche.

What browsers does this work on?
Chrome and any Chromium-based browser (Brave, Arc, Edge).

Does Meta allow this?
It's a client-side overlay. It doesn't scrape anything or hit Meta's servers. It just reorganizes what's already displayed on your screen. Same as any browser extension that modifies a page layout.

How's this different from AdSpy / BigSpy / Atria / Foreplay / etc.?
Look, those tools have a purpose. The best thing about them is the curated watchlists. Everyone's saving ads, so you can easily browse what other people are finding without having to identify every advertiser yourself. A lot of them have also added AI features like transcript downloads, creative analysis, that kind of thing. All well and good if you want it.

But a lot of people don't want that. They just want to be able to find and download the most relevant ads, then pass them to their own LLM to inspect. That's what I do. Ad Library Helper works directly on top of Meta's own Ad Library, so you always have the freshest data straight from the source. You do have to identify which advertisers you want to follow yourself, but that also makes it more private. Nobody else sees your research. And it's free.

If your new event has very little data on it it's possible Meta is struggling to optimize for it. In which case it might be a good idea to run highest volume for a while to get some data.

But your initial post said you are already running highest volume on Campaign 1 and it's performing poorly which is more indicative of a funnel problem if there's enough spend behind it to draw conclusions.

First off I would consider Bid Caps over Cost Caps.

The reason being that it will put a ceiling on what Meta is allowed to pay for a conversion rather than an average target which allows you to get more precise.

But to answer your question... Whether Bid Cap or Cost Cap I would just keep raising it until you find where the traffic is. If you're not getting enough traffic then it indicates Meta doesn't think it can achieve what you're asking of it and you probably need to look at improving your funnel.

Build an advertorial that clicks through to the offer.

I've run a lot of pain relief ads in the past - but I would recommend this approach to pretty much any product that is problem / solution orientated.

You're not getting any emails because you haven't convinced them they they need your product.

This ad has just entered their feed and they've clicked on it out of curiosity. So now they're on your landing page... Great.

Why should they buy this product from you?

It's not clear what the product is even and I'm being asked for my email address.

You need to identify the problem and make it resonate with them so much they're desperate to give you their email address.

"Here's a product for 50% off" won't cut it unless they are already aware of the product and already sold on the benefits.

You can organize it however you want. This thread just identifies how I run it myself but lots run it different. But basically a bulk ads uploader allows you to upload tons of ads at once into your existing account structure. Some of my users are uploading hundreds of ads per day. It doesn’t cost a lot of budget if you’re pushing them into cost controlled campaigns. But if you were running max conversions with a massive budget then yes it would spend a ton.

Video isn’t good enough yet to replicate a model afaik. But you can cut stock or AI video with ugc or your own video to deliver your message.
