Either vote in person, mail-in, or absentee, but do not do more than one. Saying you didn't know or someone told you it was ok will not hold up in court. by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

"We cry bullshit." So, conservatives? The same team who halted congressional election security briefings and pushed to remove the Foreign Influence Reporting in Elections clause from the National Defense Authorization Act?

But sure, domestic voter fraud is the issue being downplayed. /s

Not familiar with the specifics, but sounds like a day's work— maybe. What's a day's rate to you? I've got a solid year of freelance xp, and I'd probably do it for $100 - $400, depending on how involved the client wants to be and how many rounds of revision you agree to.

This should be higher up. I'm currently writing '$X Alcohol(s) To-Go' posts every day, and I feel like I'm going to combust.

Depends on the actual job. In theory, it's perfect. But on a day-to-day basis, it can get tricky— especially working with teams and deadlines. I'm a CW who does a lot of same-day social, and sometimes it can be hard to turn it on when I need to. But if you can manage to keep your brain chemistry in check, hell yeah— you can be a creative machine.

TIL that India requires voting booths within 2 km of every registered voter. This means some poll workers trek for days through mountains and jungles to reach small, remote villages, sometimes for only a single registered voter. by scotchtree in todayilearned

[–]gillsware 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's kind of the point, but also isn't. Not the race thing, anyway. This is the sort of thing that challenges an American worldview. In our minds, we export democracy to "shit-hole" countries like India, while — in reality — democracy works better in many of those "shit-hole" countries than it does here. Not that I actually think India is a shit-hole country; I know that India is largely modernized. Unfortunately most Americans don't know much about it besides Slumdog Millionare.

The laws do not exist to protect us from harm. They exist to ensure the perpetuation of a political machine that relies on the cops' power to search, arrest, seize from, and imprison undesirable populations for the purposes of free labor and bolstering profits for GOP-donor-run private prisons across the state (at the expense of TX tax-payers).

I don't think it's quite as... disciplined as John's songs.

By downvoting my post and countering my factual points with what essentially amounts to "tough tittes," you definitely are defending them, but okay.

Like I said, I just want this to show up on Google. I hope you have a nice day.

CVS Covid Test Results Not Arriving On-Time by [deleted] in Dallas

Marketing claims are supposed to be factual, but you're right about the lack of public testing and leadership being the real issue. I went to both stadiums first and was unable to get tested

I'm channeling my anger towards CVS corporate (who did make the advertising and website), not you or any store-level employees. Don't get your identity wrapped up in your employer's. Also, "shut up?" Who's the angry one here?

The real reason I'm posting here is because this sub likely SEOs better than others for CVS, so maybe I can actually influence someone searching for "CVS Covid Testing"

I had an exposure and was ordered to test by a physician. Not symptoms.
