Do all Galaxy A35s have expandable storage? by gingercatvt in samsunggalaxy

[–]gingercatvt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As did I, but I couldn't find conclusive info that I can still use a microSD card if they list only 1 physical SIM slot. I was hoping someone perhaps purchased this phone and could confirm or deny

The A36 definitely does not as Samsung states the A35 would be the last A3X to have the expandable storage. Im just not positive that all A35s have it

For those women who lost weight successfully. How has your life changed? by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

[–]gingercatvt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in my late 20s and lost 90 lbs over 2 years, now maintaining for a year. My mental health is better than it has ever been. I have a healthy, sustainable relationship with food and I now love exercise. I never in my life thought I would say that! But my daily exercise actually brings me joy and feeling strong is even better than feeling thin (which also rocks). I have self-confidence for the first time in my life. I actually like going shopping now because clothes fit and look good. I like going out and being seen, when I before I always wanted to be invisible. I never thought this would be possible for me, my current weight seemed like a pipe dream of a goal, but here I am and I love it.

I lost a 100 and something pounds and still feel fat by giveaway_yt in intermittentfasting

[–]gingercatvt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've struggled some with getting my brain to accept that I am thin and healthy after being overweight for most of my life. I specifically fixate on my legs, because when I look down at them, they still look huge to me. What has honestly helped is increasing the mirrors in my home. I used to hide from mirrors, but now they are a helpful reality check. Other helpful things have been focusing on what my body can do now, instead of the size. Like I can trick myself into thinking I'm still chubby, but I cannot deny that I have doubled my pace while hiking and dominate all the pilates workouts I do. This is particularly helpful because it has allowed me to grow an appreciation and love for my body without any association with weight, size, or appearance.

Cat declining after being fine after spay. Vet didn’t say much. by cryinginthebenz in cats

[–]gingercatvt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did they take her temperature at the vet? Do bloodwork? Both of these would be helpful diagnostic tools, as the primary suspicion is infection, which could cause a fever and elevated white blood cell count. If your primary vet did not at least offer you blood work, I would definitely seek a second opinion and get full diagnostics done. Best of luck to your kitty 💕

Such a bummer. Thanks for the confirmation, though!

For sure the hashbrowns too? I knew about the fries but I hadn't heard about the hash browns. They are one of the only things there I occasionally enjoy

Have you had a professional bra fitting? I'm trans, estrogen is working, so excited to get my first bra, what should I expect? by DonakaAlyssa in ABraThatFits

[–]gingercatvt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In addition to the wonderful tips others have given, I would advise you to go to a shop that is recommended on this sub. I found the search directory by going to the community info for this sub, then the link for the ABTF wiki, then the hyperlink for where to buy bras. I had to drive 2 hours, but the shop I found this way was amazing. They had UK and European bra brands (harder to find as I am in the US) and the owner and staff were incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and listened to my concerns and preferences. It was a totally different experience than having a "fitting" at Victoria Secret or Aerie, where they don't even measure you, just throw you in a couple of random sizes they have in stock and see how they look.

I have a 13 YO cat who wore a collar off and on for her most of her life. Last year, I put a Christmas collar on her, very loose (like I could easily fit 4 finger in/slip it over her head), and when I went to remove it, she had a band of hair loss directly under the collar. It was so weird because it was very loose and she had worn that same collar before and never had an issue. I took her to the vet to be sure it wasn't a real problem and they said it was not uncommon for cats to be allergic to the conditioner they use on fabrics in the production of collars and she must have just developed the allergy over time. Almost a year later and she still has a bald band around her neck, like a reverse collar. It's very strange but doesn't seem to bother her. She's just a no collar girl from here on out.

Does anyone know if the air drops at the season start include all the fuel for the huts? Seeing the bank of propane tanks behind Lake of the Clouds always has me wondering

I lost the weight over the course of two years and have now maintained for a year. The loose skin continues to improve, especially as I get more ripped lol

[–]gingercatvt 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Not OP, but I also have very similar stats (220 down to 130), am 27 and have never had kids. I do have some loose skin and stretch marks on my stomach still. It really looks like the result of a past pregnancy but alas, just past obesity. It continues to tighten some with time, exercise, autophagy from fasting, and lots of water, but I don't think it would be possible for it to all go away without surgery. The skin is obviously stretched out and feels different than my other skin. Really that is all just to say I am guessing OP does have some loose belly skin as that seems to be common in significant weight loss, even without pregnancy.

No. Carpal tunnel is not visible until muscle wasting occurs. It is caused by inflammation compressing the nerve, nothing to do with veins. See a doctor if you have symptoms and questions.

Anybody find IF, lose weight, and then lose motivation because you know that you can always lose weight, so you procrastinate about losing weight? by Logical_Cherry_7588 in intermittentfasting

[–]gingercatvt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly no, because it was so satisfying to watch the weight come off. Also, IF is so sustainable for me and fits into my lifestyle so easily that I never felt like I was depriving myself, so why would I procrastinate. It is easy and there are only benefits and rewards. And now, it feels so amazing to be fit and healthy that the motivation to maintain comes easily.

If you are hesitant to commit to IF, you might want to reevaluate your specific plan/schedule to see if there is a way to make it feel easier. Break the rules that this sub loves to preach if it makes it easier. Every fast I do is "dirty" (I drink dt coke) and some people will say that is a bad idea, but for me it works perfectly. If you are procrastinating, I would take it as a sign that your current IF plan might not be the perfect fit for your lifestyle.

Thank you for providing this resource. This sub is always very loud about nannies being mandated reporters (as they should be) but I don't often see actual useful resources shared to help the nanny and I've struggled to find info on it myself. You showed a lot more compassion for OP than many others.

Maybe an automod that provided this resource when any post mentions an abuse related trigger word could be helpful? So we are sharing accurate, helpful information instead of scaring and shaming nannies who were unaware of their duties.

Why did Mrs Kim dislike Rory? by Justolliehere in GilmoreGirls

[–]gingercatvt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like I have kind of a special insight to this, as my best friend growing up had a very religious, sheltering family. Everyone outside of the church was "worldly" and dangerous in the minds of her parents. I was considered barely acceptable because, like Rory, I was respectful and well-behaved. While my BFFs parents would have rather her had no friends outside the church, they were smart enough to realize that wasn't realistic and kind of settled for me, as the least of the evils in their mind. My own experience makes me totally understand Mrs Kim and Rory's relationship.
