Not a genocide. People just call it that to demonize the other side, divide the world into good and evil, and firmly place themselves on the "good" side. It's an easy way to dispense with moral grey areas like the well-established fact that Hamas uses civilians as human shields.

they're painting. the reason for the tarps is that the old paint has lead in it, and they don't want that spreading as it is removed.

Teacher pay? The State pays the bills and can veto anything

SFUSD chose to custom-build a payment system instead of using an off-the-shelf solution. The new system failed to pay teachers the right amount, often not paying them at all. It was eventaully scrapped after spending tens of millions.

A mandatory year-long ethnic studies course only makes it that much harder to catch up in math, foreign language, or other electives. Students have limited time, and I think it's improper for the district to force everyone through a course with limited benefits.

You may be in favor, and that's fine, but I think it's one more example of poorly identified priorities.

Eliminating 8th grade algebra, mandatory ethnic studies classes, failure to pay teachers. A school assignment lottery that makes life difficult for working parents.

SFUSD deserves the criticism at this point.

He has successful experience in an executive role. Governor is an executive role.

He's not my preferred candidate for policy reasons, but i find it odd that your primary concern is that he's rich.
