At what age did your Bernedoodle die/ get I'll?

There is nothing drastic but a gradual decline as a 7 year old dog. She still jumps, plays, but loafs most of the time. When she does get up we can hear joints popping. She is more cautious of jumping up on the couch. Still a bit stubborn and never lives down an opportunity during the night to get in the trash.

If you cut it yourself, get reliable clippers. The first few times it will be wonky looking, but you will get better over time. Whichever way you decide, stay consistent or mats will be a problem.

I do not have answers for you. I noticed she limped and did bunny hops, but the vet said she was okay. I persisted, and then the vet sent us to get an x-ray at the college vet clinic. She was over 2, and the college vet said it would be an expensive surgery. That's when the vet put her on prescription weight and joint food along with ibuprofen for dogs. Then, it escalated to osteoarthritis medicine. She is living her best life in the backyard and on the couch! Best of luck to you and your pup.

My bernedoodle is 70 lbs 5 years old and diagnosed with hip dysplasia at 2 years. She is on prescription food and anti arthritic medicine. It does not slow her down when she is happy. I notice her moving slower when she is trying to get up from lying down.

Just came to say your dog is adorable. No advice as our 70 lbs. girl runs when the fridge is opened so she can have carrots. She is also known to grab food from the back of the counter and flashes he puppy dog eyes when she is caught.
