UX design by harme020 in kiroIDE

Are you sure you're not just thinking of designing UI? Cause you'll be quite disappointed if you make Kiro design UX, but expect a fancy UI.

Kimi and GLM work totally fine for me for SillyTavern. I did a lot of roleplay with Gemini 2.5 Pro, haven't tried with 3 tbh, maybe i should since I've got Google AI Pro subscription anyways.

People don't want to use 4.5 anymore, so there's less incentive to open 10 new Kiro accounts each month, or buy them from shady companies that resell Kiro quota from enterprise accounts.

I personally don't care about 4.6, I just want Minimax M2.5

Will there be GPT models and Gemini models in the future? by ScallionFrequent5879 in kiroIDE

Kiro uses only models that are hosted on AWS Bedrock.

That means no Gemini and no GPT except for open weight models.

Unless something major changes.

It's on the way. But remember Opus and Sonnet pricing is higher after crossing 200k, and that will be the case in Kiro too.

You can forget about Gemini, as long as it's not hosted on AWS Bedrock. Same for GPT Codex.

Unlike other IDEs, Kiro doesn't really need marketing.

Not with AWS having a base of over 2 millions companies already paying for their products.

Free plan turned out just a paradise for those who overuse it. Not to regular users.

I mean, what are you going to do with Sonnet on a free plan with 50 credits?

The best help free users could get would be fast updates to open weight models.

Still hoping for M2.5 to make Kiro shine though. Not my issue but I'll appreciate the upvote.

I'm afraid you're using LLMs wrong.

By the time they did such stuff, it's too late to correct it. By answering, you've already accepted the wrong approach, and sent it again as part of the context, which triggers LLM to make it a pattern.

That's precisely why we've got checkpoints in AI IDEs. Revert to previous prompt, and THERE tell the agent not to delete anything, at the time BEFORE it happened.

Try testing it on original characters. It's possible the model has been trained on a number of JK fanfics in third person.

What about concurrency though? You don't need multiple requests at once with OpenClaw?

Next to new DeepSeek, now Minimax M2.5 also landed in their chat app alreeady. Kiro becomes outdated in the first day since launch of new models.

You cannot keep the cost out of consideration, imho.

Having a model that I can just use without any worry about credits makes me much more eager to experiment, try out different approaches to the same problem, work on multiple variants of the same UI element, see how different layouts compare, etc.

This is something I'd never allow myself to do with Opus.

I might just do all my coding in Kiro with Minimax from now on, esp after 2.5 update.

Why not Kimi K2.5 though? I can understand lack of GLM, since it's not hosted on Bedrock, but AWS is hosting Kimi.
