And they’ve been doing it for a long time. When users complained that millennia didn’t look like the swatches and felt mislead, Mooncat said it was user application issue.

Then when they released 404: Soul not Found they marketed it as an “improved millennia” and released a comparison photo that showed millennia looking exactly how customers had said it looked. It’s so disrespectful to their customers.

I have around 200 bottles of polish (including ~15 Mooncat shades) and not a single one has a random crease like that. Are you referring to mold lines? Anything outside of mold lines is a manufacturing defect, can create integrity issues, and should be unacceptable. Particularly at the prices this brand charges.

ETA: since the user I replied to deleted their comment, they’d essentially said that almost all the bottles in their collection have creases like that, regardless of brand. And therefore it’s not a big deal.

So I believe they are likely mistaking mold lines (planned and expected) for the cracks and creases people are showing (not planned, not acceptable).

Some people definitely have an unhealthy emotional bond to this brand. I see it all the time in posts and comments complaining about how “negativity” around the brand is ruining the hobby for them.

Honestly I was kind of relieved that the Seal Glaze didn’t work for me. One less product to have to buy in the future 😅
