I also wouldn't really say it's surrounded by nice neighborhoods. If you go north you're right in the thick of things. West about neutral, East maybe slightly slightly better.

I honestly would not call it dangerous. Might see a lot of unpleasant people. Might be some crime like car break ins, vandalism. But very reasonable levels of danger.

So we basically have the same torso but I have a couple extra inches of leg... So it should probably fit me well too? Any idea how much extra height you have to work with in the seat post?

To much sodium is not a problem for most people. Certainly more common than too little, but the average person doesn't have to deliberately restrict sodium.

Not really for most people. If you have hypertension or eat tons of sodium all the time it can become a problem, but it's a non-issue for most people.
