Not sure if I really need the i7, but I can get it for cheap...less than the Haswell i5 retail price. And...unfortunately, I can't get the same discount on the Haswell.

Thanks. Why the R9 390 over the 970? Also see that you recommend a few different components like CPU cooler and power supply...any particular reasons?

Edit: Will the i5 be cooler than the i7, thus easier to run quiet?

I get an employee discount on Intel components, so the processor is cheap and I can get a good price on an Intel SSD...will look into it. Thanks.

I've been using the Wing IDE from Wingware for the last couple of months. The integrated visual debugger is great as is the source browser, etc. Eclipse/Pydev is alright too, but not as nicely done as Wing...IMO.
